We are on a 3/4 Land/Sea starting 1/19/06. Following is a very basic plan. We have been to WDW before and other than MK are willing to do only major attractions. Our most interest after MK will be Epcot Future World. Please offer any and all recommendations. The board people seem well versed in this sort of thing. Thinking about dinner ressies at MGM combined with Fastasmic.Good idea Bad idea?

Thurs.1/19
Airport 9:45
Polynesian 11:00 ?
Epcot 2:00 till close (7:00) ?

Friday 1/20
MK - 9:00 till 8:00
Dinner at Polynesian

Sat. 1/21
AK -9:00
MGM 12:00 ? till Fastasmic

Welcome to the DIS!!!

I think it all looks good. Unless AK is a "must do" then I don't know that I'd even bother w/ it. For the amount of time you'll be there you may spend just as much time transferring from park to park.

Also, did you check the EMH schedule to see if you can take advantage of any extra hours on those days?

AK is not vital but we would like to do a couple of the rides, safari.dino, river rapids, ect. How long would it take to transfer to MGM. Is this a problem

Epcot is usually open til 9:30 pm (World Showcase). It's only the Future World part that closes at 7 pm

just a bump to give this another run thru hope for a couple more replies. I should have put a more attention getting title up. Thanks to those who helped. Sorry this isn't about something more exciting.

We did the dinner at The Brown Derbie and then had reserved seats with the meal package for Fantasmic which were....well....Fantasmic! :-) The meal at the Derbie was WONDERFUL too. Highly recommend this package.

If you're using the buses to transfer it can be as fast as 30 minutes as long as 90+. It all depends on how fast the buses come. If you are driving yourselves it wouldn't matter then.
The Fantasmic dinner package is always a nice option. However, most likely at that time of year it won't be needed though. The crowd levels should be low enough getting seating at 30 minutes out shouldn't be a problem.

Thank you for the advice some good ideas. We may not do the dinner reservation thing after all. We are not good at having to be at a certain
point at a certain time. If the crowd level does not dictate it we may be better in our usual free fall mode of adventure.

However what is the best way to get from A.K. to M.G.M. I am only familar
with the mono-rail system. Would welcome any better idea.

The monorail only runs to the MK & Epcot - not to MGM or AK. From the AK there is a bus to take you to each of the other parks - it shouldn't take more than a half hour to transfer between these 2 parks - they aren't that far from each other.

We always just do a half day at both AK & MGM - so I think you have a good plan of combining these 2 parks into one day. :)
