My boyfriend and I are taking our first trip to Disney together during F&W. I have been to Disney twice in the last 2 years and actually bought an AP in April and have another couple of short trips in the works, but this will be his first true trip. He went to Disney a couple of times on school trips but has never been as an adult. I have also never been to F&W, so we are really looking forward to this! Here are my tentative plans, let me know what you think.

Wednesday Sept 30
-We won't land at MCO til 8pm, so we will check into POFQ and that will probably be about it

Thursday Oct 1
-Epcot day. I am planning to FP+ Soarin' and either rope drop or ride TT single rider
-Spend the day/night at food and wine.
-2:30 pm reservation at Via Nappoli (mainly to sit in the air conditioning for a while and we will probably split a personal pizza)
-Open to a mid day break at resort if needed

Friday Oct 2
-RD Magic Kingdom (FP+ mine train, space mtn, splash mtn)
-Lunch at the Plaza (trying for BOG lunch, but no luck yet and to me lunch at Plaza is as quick as CS and with TIW not too expensive either)
-9:45 dinner reservations at O'hana and also planning a before or after dinner stop at Trader Sam's (The drinks are amazing)

Saturday Oct 3
-Possible RD as HS unless we stay too late at Trader Sam's too late
-Possible sleep in with pool time til about 3
-FP+ RR,TT,&.... for late afternoon, early evening
-Fantasmic dining package at MM at 4:45
-Fantasmic at 8pm
-Hop to MK to try to catch Wishes at 10, then stay for PM EMH

Sunday Oct 4
-RD Animal Kingdom
-Afternoon rest/pool
-Dinner either at FW or DD (boyfriend really wants to ride the boat from POFQ to DD)

Monday Oct 5
-Epcot FW in am and F&W til we have to catch shuttle to airport around 4pm

Thanks in advance for the help!

I think your plan is a good one. You're avoiding F&W on the weekend nights, which I think is smart (it can get super-crowded, and people tend to overindulge and have heard reports of drunk people, tho I've never seen that). You might run into big crowds and long lines on Sunday @ F&W, so your alternate plan to go to DTD might work better. Wolfgang Puck Express has fabulous food; love their BBQ chicken pizza and creme brulee!

The only thing you might re-think is your Via Napoli reservation. There are so many good food options at the F&W booths, it seems like a shame to eat at a TS restaurant. You mention you will probably be splitting a small pizza, though, so as long as you don't fill up on pizza, you should be okay.

Have fun!

Thanks for your reply. The main reason I made the Via Napoli reservation was to have nice air conditioned break during the heat of the day. We may even just split an appetizer! My main concern with my plans was that I'm not giving us enough time at F&W. I had heard about the bad weekend crowds and was trying to avoid those. Hopefully a full day on Thursday and about 4 hours on Monday will be enough!

You have a pretty good plan. Your options are limited because MK has MNSSHP every night of your trip except Saturday.

Oct 1 Epcot looks good. TT single rider pretty quick early in the morning. Via Napoli very good.
Oct 2 MK rope drop good. Note that MNSSHP crowds will start trickling in at 4pm, then you'll get kicked out at 7pm, so you'll have some time to kill before Ohana.
Oct 3 this will be the most crowded day. HS morning EMH can be a zoo. MK evening will probably be crowded too, but everything will be crowded so you don't really have any choice.
Oct 4 AK rope drop good. With hoppers and F&W and DTD, you have tons of choices for dinner. If you sleep in Saturday you could also boat to DTD for lunch that day.
Oct 5 Epcot good

We also have an ADR for Via Napoli late dinner probably to split a pizza or have an app and salad. We will be doing booths for lunch so it's always nice to have a place to sit down and relax. We'll see as October gets closer maybe we'll change our mind.:confused3 We did the same for the Boathouse on one of our other F&W days..I agree..avoid weekend:cheer2::cheer2:

Looks great to me. Last October we also had a FP for Soarin and headed to Test Track right away (and it was slightly after rope drop). Wait wasn't bad at all. It said 45 minutes but we were in the studio after 30 minutes.

You planning on attending MNSSHP at all? It's so much fun.

Thanks for all the advice! We aren't doing MNSSHP because we are trying to do this trip on a budget, and I know we will probably spend a lot at F&W! One of our favorite activities is trying different kinds of wine, so we may go broke there! I think I am leaning toward DTD on Sunday night with a reservation somewhere I can use my TIW discount!
