Help with my Mickey-ear head bands

Put them around something larger and then use the hairdryer. Do not bend them yourself just heat them up when they around the bigger object and then let them cool down.

Thanks! I wish she sold plain Mickey ones. I really don't want Minnie ears with a bow. There is very little girly about me LOL and a bow just isn't my jam.

She does custom ears, too. I'm sure she could make you a plain pair. Send her a message! :-)

Woah!
Those are some glitzy ears!

I also love Minnie & Company's ears (also on Etsy) - they are pretty glitzy! Definitely not your typical ears. I have the jungle cruise pair but that headband is pretty small. I'm trying to figure out a way to swap it out for a different one so I can wear them to the park

Tried that. No dice. DH has an actual heat gun but im afraid it will melt the whole thing or set it on fire!

My dd has a pair of headband ears too, and I remember her complaining they were too tight. She just suffered LOL.

Is the fabric part around the band loose? Can you snip the end and pull the band out and replace it with a larger one?

I saw some of the Etsy ones too but no guarantee they'd be more comfy. Especially since many of them said one size fits all from toddlers to adults. yeah. Right. Plus, something wrong with wearing non-Disney approved ears. Like I'm cheating on them LOL!
Think of it as helping a small, home based Disney fan out ;)

I bet they can do whatever design you'd like. Just message her and ask. When I see something on ETSY that is close but slightly different than what I have in mind I use that item as the subject and click Message the seller and ask them if they can make a slight change to get what I have in mind. Typically they can. One of the best things about ETSY

I've taken to buying my ears from Etsy because the Disney ones are just too tight for me and I loathe headbands in my daily life. I have not purchased Disney ears besides the Disneyland 60 ones in quite some time now. I also like how unique the ears I get are, and I get stopped so many times a day to ask where I got them!

I second the idea of trying to put the headband around something a bit larger than your head, like a smaller planter or such, and to let it sit for a few days or heat it with a dryer and let it cool down (that's how I stretched out high heels I love and didn't want to return but were too tight). I wonder if you could wear them as you heat them with a dryer and have them cool that way so you can test the feel? Good luck!

I'm heading to Disneyland in August and I was going to buy a pair at Disneyland but maybe I might buy one from etsy or somewhere that ships to Australia.

I remember when I went to DL when I was 7 and the mickey (or Minnie can't remember) ears gave me such bad headaches that I actually never worn it I just had it for a collectible. Sadly I don't know where that went to :/.

I much prefer the look of Mickey-ear headbands over the traditional ear hats, so I bought a pair of the sequin sparkly Minnie styled ones (I wish they sold just plain Mickey ones). But OMG the band is so TIGHT!! It said one-size-fits-all, but it's so tight that it hurts and I swore I thought I accidentally bought kids ears. Is there anyway to stretch them?? Any suggestions? It's these ears:

If you buy them at the parks I recommend trying several pairs on. But those things are always tight.

You should look into the handmade ones people sell on Instagram, and etsy. They are more comfortable and have better choices.

We did try CAREFULLY heating it and now it's sitting in the bathroom all stretched between two bars on our towel rack. Will see how it fairs in the morning.

So did this work?? i see this thread was resurrected from last year :)

Do you remember the shop? I am currently looking around at several but would love to hear about your recommendations!

I am curious too! My daughter has a large head...the curse of her father.:rotfl: We bought 2 pair last year while in the parks and she was so upset that after about 10 minutes she was getting a headache. :sad1:Would love to get some more comfortable headband ears for her for our next trip.

I have a headband that just won't stay on my head full stop. It keeps sliding off, maybe I put it on incorrectly.

I found these on Etsy. They are called HeadbandEase and they are small silicone caps that slip over the end of the headband. They work well.

I agree with Etsy. I had Nicole Rose Crafts make us a custom pair for my daughter’s band trip to Disney and they turned out amazing and are SO comfortable! Nicole said she started making her own because of how tight and uncomfortable Disney’s were.

But she designed them in our school colors and modeled them after her band uniform. We couldn’t have been more happy - especially with the fit!
