i've always managed to make my way around WDW in the past. I've got Charcot Marie Tooth Disease and wear AFOs on both feet. But I've had enough stamina and take enough rests that it's been ok. We're headed back in December. DS is 7 years old and also has CMT and there's no way he could make it so I've already rented a stroller (he's a tiny 7). About a month ago, my plantar fasciitis started acting up again and it's getting progressively worse. I'm in a walking boot now and scheduled for a cortisone shot in a week, but I'm starting to plan for worst case scenario as I couldn't even make it an hour on my feet this week.
It will be me, DH and DS. I was looking at knee scooters and think I could probably handle it, but DH is skeptical. DH suggests just renting a wheelchair and DS can sit in my lap while DH pushes us (this is actually what my mom did with me when I was little and she broker her foot). I'm reluctant to get a motorized scooter as I just think it will be too much with that and the stroller.
Thoughts? This is a nightmare. I had surgery on this a number of years ago and had no idea the tendon could grow back together!
