Thanks for the replies! Would love to hear more.

I am glad I asked for your opinions. I did not know that we could take a boat to Downtown Disney from Riverside.

My friend just told me (she is a Deluxe resorter) that the food court at CSR is not owned by WDW. Is this true?

Is Riverside and French Quarters in the same complex?

Thanks again.

Not quite the same complex but close. ;) POFQ and POR are down the river from each other. There is a walkway between the resorts and you can also take the boat or the bus to either one. It is true that if you stay at one you can use the amenities including the pools at either resort. POFQ also has evening entertainment in the Scat Cat lounge. The boat to DTD goes to both resorts. Have fun choosing! :)

Because your kids will be spending time out on their own, POR is a good fit. DTD is a big draw for teens, and the boat ride is very convenient form there. On the other hand, CBR has a great tropical feeling that will be a welcome escape after a long, cold winter. The pool at the CSR is fantastic, and your younger child will think that it is great! (Try for the Cabanas to get that tropical feeling!) ... And we havn't stayed at POFQ yet, but I'm sure that it's nice, too.

Why don't you let your children have imput and decide as a family? I don't think that you can go wrong with any of the mods for children the ages of yours.:thumbsup2

Another vote for POR here. With a 18 yr old son and a 14 yr old daughter. If you stay in the Bayou buildings you can get a room with a trundle bed so they don't have to share.

I have not heard of the "trundle bed" in moderate resorts. Is POR the only mod resort that has a trundle bed? What is the bed configuration in a room that has a trundle bed?

The trundle bed is good for kids under 10. It is very small.

At CSR, you will have queen beds and can use a aero mattress or rent a roll-a-way.

I would suggest CSR. They have the best transportation, the best food court and the best pool/slide. Since your children are older, that is the best option from them. There is also and arcade and volleyball court at the main pool. I also just read that they are getting queen beds.
