We are going to Disney World in March. We had a PIN for free dining. :) We are driving, so we arrive Sunday afternoon.

There are 11 of us. 6 adults, 9 and 4 yr old girls and 1, 5 and 7 yr old boys.

Sunday evening... DTD
Monday... Magic Kingdom
Tuesday... Animal Kingdom
Wednesday... Hollywood Studios
Thursday... Epcot (4 yr old girl's birthday, turning 5)
Friday... Magic Kingdom

Only thing set in stone is Akershus for Thursday dinner, for DD's birthday.

DD (4) and DS (1) are the only ones really into characters. The others don't really watch Disney channel. Lol.

Options we were thinking about...
TRex
Rainforest Cafe
Tony's
50's prime time
Liberty Tree Tavern
Chef Mickey's
Tusker House

Thoughts?? Favorites? What would you do?

Have you looked online to see what's available? At 4/5 months out with that many people during free dining you may have trouble getting some of these. Chef Mickey in particular is hard to get.

Basically I wouldn't get your heart set on anything until you see your options :)

Where are you staying?

I personally wouldn't do both T-Rex and Rainforeset Cafe - they're too similar! If you can't get into T-Rex through the Disney site call them directly, they often have more reservations available. I'm not a big fan of Tony's, but everything else looks good. We really enjoy Tusker House.

Yes! There actually is still a lot available. So I am trying to decide now to make sure I get some reservations!!!

We are staying at POR.

I think those are good choices, although I'd probably try to get an ADR at either Ohana or Kona at the Poly for one of your MK days. I probably wouldn't do both Chef Mickey's and Tusker House.

I like 50's Prime Time Café, so I'd pick that for your Studios day. I also like lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern, but it's not necessarily a "good" value for a dining credit, if that matters to you. The last time we went to Chef Mickey's the food was not very good, so it's off our list for awhile. Tusker House is fun and different and I like being able to get into Animal Kingdom before rope-drop, so I'd pick that for breakfast. If we eat a big breakfast there, we can snack in the early afternoon, then eat dinner at our regular time (5:30-6:00). You could visit another resort that evening and do 'Ohana if that appeals to you, or have you considered Whispering Canyon Café at Wilderness Lodge? We like it and it's fun for the kids, and WL is just stunning to visit if you haven't before. Tony's is OK, but nothing spectacular.

I think the smart thing you're doing here is arranging dining convenient to your touring!! There are going to be people who love and distain each of these, but for the most part, the only place where the red flag is really flying from what I've read (I haven't gone) is Tony's.

I have heard great things about the Plaza, however, at that price point that would make a good OOP meal too, in case you want to do CRT and use 2 credits there. While the food was meh, and the feeling was like being a cow lined up for milking, it was still pretty magical.

Also, what about some place on the monorail that you can visit after touring? Since there are so many adults maybe you could work out babysitter and have a date night at Citricos?

Overall, it's brilliant that you're planning our dining around where you're going to be, and that is a can't miss!!
