Help with late Christmas Gift!

OK, so I totally flaked and didn't send anything to my husband's parents for Christmas. Mind you, I've only met them a few times in our 5 year marriage, but have always sent the boring Hickory Farms package. Now I feel like I should send something else and somehow make it seem like it's late on purpose....maybe should just write sorry in the card? Any ideas? They live in a small town and we don't have any idea what their interests are no help there. Please help!!

This happened to me last year with an Aunt & Uncle. I sent QVC Bethlehem lights flameless candles and called to say "There was a mix up that meant the gift couldn't get to you sooner.". I just didn't mention the mixup happened in my head

This gift is a really nice little luxury. The ones with the timers that run on batteries are my absolute favorites.

OK, this is probably an unChristmas-like answer, but...how does one forget inlaws & Christmas??

If there is a true reason behind this estrangement, then cut the ties, don't look back and forget about a Hickory Farms present.

Otherwise, I think the best post-Christmas present would be a visit.

I'm confused. Is your husband deployed or something? Why is this your problem? I'd be telling DH to get on the computer and send them something, then call them and let them know it's coming.

Either this idea and have husband do their gifts OR send them a New Year's gift instead.

The best thing that UPS drops off at my house all year comes from Wolferman's. They have the yummiest English muffins and they are available in about 30some flavors. I know there is so much food and junk food, candy , cookies, etc.. in my house right now that I would love some of this around New Year's. Order a gift basket from them and put on the card something about the New Year. Good luck!

Those look great. I just ordered some for a friend as a Happy New Year present and for myself because, well, just because they come with such wonderful reviews and I found a free shipping code good for another couple days that made mine almost free (WINTER). Thanks for the idea.
