Hi, I will be staying in LA as par of my honeymoon, before heading to Anaheim for a couple of days. I am really struggling to find a suitable hotel.

Can anyone recommend somewhere mid-range to stay? I love the Santa Monica area, however it seems to be very expensive. The downtown Hollywood seems pretty tacky from what I read.

Would love all your opinions!
Thanks in advance,
Steven

Have you looked at the Four Sisters Inns in Santa Monica? I think the name of that specific property is the Channel Island Inn. Call them to see what they can do in your price range and be sure to ask about specials. We've stayed at their inns many times and had great experiences. As for Hollywood, have you looked at the Lowe's on Highland (just north of Hollywood Blvd.)? This used to be a Marriott Renaissance, and ABD used to use this property for the LCM tour (perhaps they still use it -- not sure of that). Larina linked to the Orlando Hotel in the mid-city/Hollywood area. You can Google it or look in the Southern CA thread for the link. That is a boutique hotel which looks quite nice.

Thank you so much for that recommendation. I had a quick look in work at this property and it looks ideal! Thank you! I really appreciate the help.
