Help with Jedi training please

My little boy will finally be 4 when we visit in December. Currently DHS shows no emh on the day we are visiting (the wed before Christmas week) and touring plans shows DHS as a 10 for most if not all of dec. Can anyone help me with tips for sign up? Does anyone do the Hollywood and vine res and then pay the no show fee just to get in? I’m worried if we do the character breakfast we would be soooo late to rope drop but Jedi is a priority and would love any advice.

The schedules for it are never posted super early. However, with GE opening in August there could always be changes with Jedi Training. So keep an ear out in September to see if there are any changes in the program, sign ups, etc.

I don't think we can know what it will be like after the galaxy edge opening. Sorry. I know that's not very helpful.

What I did was make a H&V ADR for 8:15 or 8:30. Then go in with the breakfast crowd and go straight to JT sign ups. Signups were open for the breakfast crowd at 8. Then make your way to breakfast. But they could be changing EMH before then or change JT signups.

Scheduled opening hour will mean very little, DHS is already opening before schedule everyday to alleviate the rope drop crowds going to TSLand. An early breakfast reservation won't help, just be about an hour before schedule opening and you'll be fine

Thank you everyone for the help and advise. I didn’t even consider that Jedi training could go away after GE so fingers crossed they keep it for the kids who will be rubbish at waiting in line for all the stuff in the land!

IF things remain the same, just get there early with the TSL (and GE) crowd and go sign up. We did an early ADR and it was a waste because it seemed the sign up crowds were light. However, we did want the first time slot specifically.
