Hi! We (my mom, myself, & my sister) will be taking a weekend trip to US area to see my brother play in a volleyball tournament the first weekend in April. The tournament is on Friday & Saturday. We will leave Sunday night. Since my mom loves Universal, we'll do that all day Sunday. So my problem is Friday & Saturday.

We visited Universal/IOA in June 07, so we're familiar with the parks and attractions. But I'm kind of a commando touring person:rolleyes: We won't really be able to do that this trip though. We'll be there for the opening one morning, but probably not both. Does anyone have any suggestions for the day we might have to arrive in the afternoon?

Here is what we want to do over the two days:

Dueling Dragons
Hulk
Spiderman
Cat & the hat
Jurassic Park
Sinbad show

We're not saying on property.

Here's what we'd probably do on our morning
Hulk, Spiderman, Fire, Ice

Does anyone have any suggestions for late arrivals?

Since the rides on your "must-do" list are all in IoA, I would go there on the day you can be there for opening. Be at the gate 30 minutes before opening on Sunday. In order and without stopping, ride Hulk, Spidey, move directly to Dueling Dragons, backtrack to Jurassic Park, then do Cat in the Hat. Check the show schedule for Sinbad and work that in, keeping an eye on the build up of crowds. I think you'll find you'll be able to do everything before it gets too busy (noon-ish), and you can be flexible with the rest of your day.

That leaves you with the Saturday afternoon, and you can visit US. The popular rides (Mummy, MIB) will of course have long waits, but if you time things around the show schedules and keep an eye on crowd movements around the street shows, you may be able to avoid long lines. If crowds are too much on the Saturday afternoon, take in the shows at US as they can handle large numbers without much delay (Terminator, Shrek, Fear Factor, etc).

Hope this helps and have fun!

For a late arrival, I'd use the single riders line at MIB and Mummy. It will save you a lot of time from waiting in the regular line.
