help with ideas for a hubby basket!?

I want to order a basket from Shirley as a surprise for my husband when we board - could anyone give me some ideas what to put in it. Here's a little about him: he does not drink or smoke, loves WDW, the great outdoors, is a taxidermist by trade, loves the water (used to canoe a lot), and loves sweets. We are staying at Cocoa Beach for a week before the cruise and I need help as my brain is out of ideas. The only thing I could think of is a Disney watch but I didn't know if I could get one before the cruise to have Shirley put it in the basket.

Please help!

Best advise I can give you is to talk with Shirley - she came up with a great one for my mother and my son - Mom's was a "Key Lime Basket" with all key lime products - excellent!!

I agree that Shirley is a great place to start as she is full of great ideas.

Some other suggestions: his favorite pop, favorite snacks, a disposable underwater camera, sunscreen, safe sea.

Hi NurseGardener,

Does he like Nascar? Disney at Daytona is the "theme" for the Daytona 500 and the tee shirts are too cute.

RonJon tee shirts are cute and come in a variety of designs. If you guys go to RonJons (surf shop) and you see hubby eyeing a tee, maybe you could get the description and ask Shirley to include it (or buy it and drop it off at her shop)?

Does your hubby have any other hobbies? Maybe a favorite baseball/basketball/football/hockey team? Does he like baseball caps? Maybe a Disney baseball cap? What about stuff for the beach? Water shoes, tanning lotion/oil, a sports bottle that he can fill with beverage of choice?

Just some suggestions. I'm sure Shirley will have more. Her shop is fantastic!!

I just thought about this...if you have a Disney Store near you, you could check and see if they have Disney at Daytona tees. I bought two on Saturday...50% off on each. I'm not sure how long the tees will be on sale.

Good idea!! Just call me behind - I had no idea about the tie-in with Disney and Daytona this year - and I call myself a race fan!! Anyway, I just checked Nascar.com and found a great cap with Mickey - they are very nice caps. I plan to order him one tomorrow (when he's not watching me) - I think he'll be on to me if I get the credit card out now!! LOL!!

Are there a couple of excursions that he would really like to do that you haven't already agreed on? Maybe you could book one or two, and add "certificates" for snorkeling, etc...

Maybe matching personalized T-shirts from disneystore.com? It could be your own theme, "Nursegardners' Disney Wilderness Cruise," --something that would be meaningful to the two of you.

I had some T-shirts printed up that refer to the cruise in the context of celebrating my son's birthday. The cruise is a surprise for him, and I think the shirts are SO COOL. (Of course, I'm as excited about the SURPRISE as I am about the CRUISE.)
