Originally when I planned this trip, there were four of us going, Me, me sister, and our two eight year olds. We were going to spend a few days at Disney and a few at Universal. Now my two teenage daughters are coming. I just can't justify paying almost $500. a night for two rooms. So even though we have Universal AP's. I'm almost to the point of scrapping Universal altogether. My only option, aside from sneaking an extra person in our room (just kidding, my morals won't allow it.) is stay off site. So, can anyone recommend any reasonably priced off site hotels that sleep six. I have found quite a few near disney from mousesavers but nothing close to Universal and I really don't feel comfortable driving far at night.
I'm still trying to convince myself that no FOTL and no walking back and forth from the park to the hotel will be Ok and I'm not doing so well, so if anyone knows what the lines will be like for April 20-27, I would appreciate it.

Thanks so much, Rachel

The 6 of us (2A4K) liked it about 2 years ago. 2 beds, 1 sleeper sofa. Kitchenette along with a buffet breakfast -- deluxe continental type -- better than just donuts & Tang. Can be had for around $69. Thought it was very good value for us. We had a great view of Universal fireworks too.

I'm staying at the Amerisuites March 5th, so I'll take a good look around. It's about a 20 minute walk.

My next choice would be the Hilton Homewood Suites. Just built near the end of 2003, it's brand new (no hotel smell). I've stayed at the sister property, the Hilton Garden Inn twice, and it's great. The Hilton properties are about 5 minutes from the park by car, too far to walk, but have great views. Check out my HGI site here to see what I'm talking about. The hotels are next to each other.

And all offsite hotels are here.
