help with hotel choice

We are doing a last minute trip and I booked Motel 6 Maingate for four nights 355.52 or I can use hotwire and I think I can get Doubletree Anaheim Orange 453.79 and then 15.00 per night parking. I think its the not knowing what I will get that makes me hesitate. I have 3 kids ages 13,8 and 6. I was hoping to get HOJO's but its too much. The dates are 3/29-4/2. Thanks

I would stick with the main gate because you really never know with Hotwire. We booked with Hotwire and got the red lion. Then not long after that we booked through Hotwire for my sister in law and were pretty confident about which hotel they would get and we were wrong. they ended up getting a nice hotel but it wasn't walking distance at all.

We love the Motel 6 Maingate! It's nothing fancy, but the rooms are big and clean and it's cheap!! The shuttle stops there first in the morning too, so you always get a seat! It's less than a mile, so walking distance too!

Is Motel 6 Maingate close to the parking lot so you can grab a shuttle?

No. The ART shuttle stops there. You have to pay for that.

We stayed at Motel 6 our first night, before checking into DLH. It was nice. Clean and cheap is what I was going for, and I was very impressed.

The staff was very helpful and incredibly friendly.
