Can someone explain how FP works with shows - do you get a FP for a specific show?

I'd like to see the 5:30pm Frozen Singalong and then the 6:00pm Indy stuntshow. Would the FP be for those specific show times? Is there enough time to get from Frozen over to Indy b4 it starts? If we are late will they not let us in? Do they ever have later shows in the summer (trip planned for mid June - right now those are the last shows, but I'd love to fit in B&TB as well if they added more shows in the summer)?

We only want to do a half day at DHS specifically to see Fantasmic. We'll also fit in TSMM with a FP for sometime after 7pm if possible, Muppets and VotLM. We have an ADR for Sci Fi diner at 4:20pm. Is an hour enough time or is that too much time? Is there any possibility of getting a FP for Fantasmic after we use our last one (after 7pm) or will it be sold out? We'll have plenty of time to go early enough for a decent seat if we can't get a FP as Fantasmic is not showing until 9pm, but it would be nice to have a reservation without having to pay for the dinner package.

Yes, the FP+ is for the specific show. Indy is right across from Frozen, but don't know you'd make it if one show started 30 minutes after the other.

You may be able to get a FP+ for Fantasmic after 7pm, depends on the day. If not, show up 45-60 minutes early and you'll have no problem finding a seat.

I don't think you will make indy. You have to figure the show, then getting out of the crowded theater, then getting over there.

the system will not let you make FP that close together as they are not for a specfic time rather a time period (i.e. - the Frozen FP would be for 4:00 - 5:00, and then you could not get another pass until 5:15 as it will read you as being booked at 5:00). If you already have the ADR, it will not let you book a FP overlapping that window either. the good news is that you should not need a FP for either Frozen or Indy. Summer hours will increase, but the show times may not go past 6:00. BatB has evening shows though.

May have to ditch the ADR although we've been dying to do Sci Fi. Will check daily to see if I can get something later. That way I can hit the 4:30pm Frozen show and the 6:00 Indy show. And I could probably fit in B&TB too. Maybe 4pm B&TB, 4:45 Indy and 5:30 Frozen! Then just grab something to eat while we wait for Fantasmic.

Approximate show durations:
  • Beauty and the Beast : 25 minutes
  • The Frozen Sing Along : 30 minutes
  • The Indiana Jones Stunt show : 30 minutes
  • Disney Junior Live : 24 minutes
  • Voyage of the Little Mermaid : 17 minutes
  • Star Wars: A Galaxy Far Away : 18 minutes
Since June tends to be busy, you may need to factor in extra travel and waiting time between shows.

HS is so hard to do in a half day with fitting in all the shows along with the rides and eating at Sci-Fi which we love - this is why we always end up with a whole day! If you want a half day, why don't you try to get a late lunch ADR at Sci-Fi? Try to modify to 1:45 -2:00. Then I would get to the park by 12:30 for the 1:00 B&B show(time showing now - may be slightly different for your trip). Then you could head to lunch and get FP for Frozen show after (3:30 now). Then get TSM FP for 4:30, and then IJ for 6:00. As soon as you check in for that you can try and make 4th for Fantasmic. Then from 6:30- 7:30, you can do Muppets and LM, and then grab food to take to wait for Fantasmic. This plan gets your 3 FP done by 5:30, so better chance of getting Fantasmic as 4th, and breaks up shows, so you are not doing three in a row, which might be a lot to sit through if you have kids, and would be tight to get to, especially as you want to be a little early to get decent seats.

If you wanted to arrive a little later, you could try for 6:45 ADR at Sci -Fi. You could then start with B&B at 2:00, hit LM before Frozen if short wait, then try to do Muppets after TSM, then head to dinner after IJ, and then to Fantasmic hopefully with FP to get seats. This is a little tighter but allows you to arrive at 1:30.

Your plan really is not at all workable.

Yes the FP+ for shows is for that specific show time.
If you were to get a FP+ for the 5:30pm Frozen Sing Along your window would be 5pm-5:15pm.
If you were to get a FP+ for the 6pm Indiana Jones show the FP+ window would be 5:30pm-5:45pm.

First you would not make it to the Frozen FP+ with a 4:20pm ADR at Sci-fi.
Second you would not make it to the Indiana Jones FP+ if you were to watch Frozen because the Frozen Sing Along is about 25 minutes long.

You MIGHT be able to do Sci-fi and make it to a FP+ for Indiana Jones.

This info is incorrect.
For shows its a 15 minute FP+ window meaning 5:00pm-5:15pm.
Also ADR's have nothing to do with FP+.
They can overlap.
