Hey guys! For an assignment I have to do I'm making a book/website/manual thing for the CP. :cool1: The website is here:

http://dcpdocumenter.blogspot.com/view/sidebar/6568290306227385607/2011/06/introduction.html Or the normal blog view is just dcpdocumenter.blogspot.com, if you prefer that.

It's basically just a blog. Here's what I need:

*Suggestions for info I've left out, particularly in the roles sections since I don't have friends who have done every single role. :confused3

*Pictures if you have some good ones that would go along (you would be giving me permission to use those pictures on the website if you send them). I need pictures specifically of the apartment complexes, and people in their costumes doing roles, but other pictures are good too. (I'm scared to take anything off of google or Facebook, I don't want to be breaking any rules here...)

*Followers, if you haven't already done the CP (or if you have and just want to be nice, that would be great too!). The more followers I have, the better it will look. I won't be adding many new posts, so you won't be bombarded with updates if you do follow. I'm thinking of adding a chapter talking about the different locations like the parks, EWWS, water parks, DTD, etc. I'm also considering doing an FAQ chapter at the end, but I can't think of more questions I'm leaving out, so if you have any questions for me, send those too!

Thanks guys! You can send me suggestions either here, in a PM, or as a comment on the blog itself. I'll send you my email address if you PM me telling me you have pics or something. Thanks! :worship:

While I have nothing to add to this, I saw the link a couple days ago, and read through it! I knew most of the information from my hours of research, but I love how you were able to compile things together so nicely. I was talking to a friend about he CP and I sent her the link a couple days ago.

My one suggestion would be (if possible) to arrange the side bar so that chapter one is at the top and 11 is at the bottom. other than that, thanks for making such a great resource!

I'm already a follower (found the link a couple of days ago) and I absolutely LOVE the way you have it set up. I spent a ton of time reading through it, especially the chapters on what happens once you get there. In less than two months I'll be living it!

Quick question: Did you not include Character Performer under Roles to preserve the magic or because you are in need of information? Just curious since that is gonna be my role. :)

Thanks for sharing your hard work with us!

Thank you so much for your compliments! I will try and fix the order thing on the side, too. I know how to do it, but it involves a lot of time and I've just been too lazy lately. :happytv: Will fix it though! ....eventually.

And Lauren, you guessed correctly. I left out character performer on purpose because I didn't know how to approach it while protecting the magic. I guess I also don't know enough about the role to be able to put something together that would be informative, but not ruin anything. And I'm trying to be VERY careful not to include things that could be questionable.

If it is something you really think should be in there, though, I would love some information about it, and maybe we could come up with something for it. Just let me know! We may wait til August when you learn more, too! :) I'm very excited for you, though! I know that's a fun role!

And again, thanks so much for all your nice thoughts!

Couple notes in roles (only read the ones I'm familiar with):

Costuming- You can also be places in Operational Costuming, which provides the costumes for everyone not in Entertainment (i.e., Merchandise, Attractions, atc.)

Hotels - You missed Front Desk.

You're also missing The Pirates League.

Cast Members selected for The Pirates League will go through an additional interview process and are typically identified if they have a strong theatrical or face painting experience.

The Pirates League Cast Members bring to life the stories of Captain Jack Sparrow and are responsible for recruiting new crew members. The role is one of the highest themed roles on property, including extensive pirate persona. Training lasts one week, which allows time to review the 7 face options and 6 distinctive roles (including one that requires computer usage).

The Pirates League is only open 9-4 daily, meaning that you would always have evenings off (except for MNSSHP evenings). However, OT is extremely difficult to get.

Thank you so much Brenna! I'm so glad you saw this. When I first became a CP, I became nearly obsessed with your vlogs as my excitement ran out of control.

Anyway, I fixed pretty much everything you guys said, I think, so here's the new and improved link.

I still don't fully understand the Pirate's League. Is that it's own separate thing? Or is it under Attractions? Or maybe like the BBB? I definitely want to include it, I'm just trying to figure out how to tell them to apply for it. (Like which role would they mark? Or just mention it in the interview?) Thanks so much for your input!

HAHA - glad to help!

You actually cannot select The Pirates League, but you can mention it during the interview. The CPs are idenfitied and then contacted seperately to see if they are interested, and then go through an additional interview. CPs just became a permenant part of the location for the Spring 2011 program. Some CPs were cross trained in Fall 2010, but they were still statused elsewhere.

We currently have 4 statused CPs, with about 2 cross trained (from Merchandise). I believe the plan is to get away from cross training and to hire more straight to TPL - but there will never be very many.

Also, I never mentioned that it's a face painting role... that would be important to know... located in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom. Pay wise, it is the same as BBB; additionally (like the BBB), it is possible to earn shared tips.

Shared tips: meaning that the money is split equally among CMs, you cannot pocket personal tips directly from Guests, and it is tracked.

You're transportation bit is off. The trams are part of parking which is separate from transportation, and it includes directing traffic and manning the toll booths. Though the MK trams are run out of the TTC, they're separate.

Also I'd suggest dropping the descriptions of the chapters below the chapter number since they're hard to read on a small format screen.

Auto Plaza is not part of parking - it's part of Main Entrance Ops (classed under attractions) - if you're MEO you can't be Cross-trained in parking because of different unions
