Help with flights!

Hi everyone! I need help with booking our flights... Normally, we have no problems finding cheap airfare on Priceline or Expedia. This time, the lowest rate we are getting is about $540 total for two people round trip. Jet Blue is about $800! We are trying to Leave on Feb 13 and return on Feb 23. We can tweak these dates a bit, but can't leave any earlier than the 13th. If we have to, we'll pay the $600 for the flights but I was just wondering what tips you guys have? Oooh, it's Newark Airport (EWR). But if there was a lower price, we maybe would fly out of JFK or La Guardia. Our preference is Newark though. Sorry bout not mentioning that in my original post!

No advice, but keep in mind that Valentine's Day is the 14th and Presidents' Day is the 19th, so the prices will be higher simply due to supply and demand.
