Help with Faxing Disneyworld from Australia - Can't get it right!

Hi Disboards -

I hope this is in the right forum... Im guessing its strategy related, but Admins feel free to move if in the wrong place...

I am trying to Fax through to Port Orleans Riverside from Adelaide, South Australia... I have Port Orleans fax as 1-407-934-5777... I've read online three different country codes trying to Fax through to the U.S (0011, 0015, 0019) and each one is bouncing the fax and not sending it through...

Im really hoping I can fax through to confirm our Honeymoon booking and room request.

Anyone out there know exactly what I need to dial on the Fax to have it safely arrive in the Room Assigners in tray?

I appreciate that, Robo - But calling the generic WDW-Communications switchboard with the U.S/Australian time difference is tougher than it sounds...

I hear people Fax room requests and resorts all the time - I was guessing this would be no different...

I have never heard of anyone faxing a Disney resort.

Can you make your room requests online? I know I've done it when booking online.

But he's going to POR, and POR does things differently. They still do accept faxes.

OP have you looked at this thread here? One of the recent posters (and creator of portorleans.org) is from the UK and might have a better idea on how to fax to the US from abroad that someone who lives in the US. But a quick google shows me that it's 0011 and then 1 and THEN the number. That extra 1 might make the difference. (Or it might do nothing. I'm not an expert in this.)

But what I read says that 0011 gets you out of Australia, then 1 gets you into the US, and then it's the rest of the number including the area code.

I assume it's the same as calling, so I think it would be....

I always call from Sydney, either early morning here or late at night.

If you are trying to fax from your workplace, you need to find out if the fax is set up for international faxing and that the onsite phone system is not restricted on international calling as well. Even if the phones can call international, the ports for the fax can be restricted, and usually are.
