Help with Escape Package!

I am trying to understand what I am really getting with an Escape package and what my options are to put all this together.

I am bringing my own photographer.

We have approximately 12 guests plus us.

I understand that by bringing my own photographer I forfeit the photography portion of my package, which kind of stinks but is okay, I guess.

So for $4925 I am getting:

A ceremony site
a small cake
champagne
transportation

if I wanted to have a dessert party in Epcot that night, I assume I would be on the hook for the additional food/bev minimum for that, but I guess I don't understand how these add-ons all work and how they're priced unless you include them as part of a Wishes ceremony.

We'd like to do the cake cutting/dance/dessert party all as one thing, is that possible? Is alcohol permitted at a dessert party in Epcot?

Also a violinist, a bouquet, a boutonniere, two annual passes good at all 4 parks, and the services of a planner.

You'd pay for the dessert party a la carte, so that's the venue fee + the food and beverage minimum + viewing fees (if necessary) and any transportation you added. The Escape package fee includes tax and gratuity. The costs associated with a DP have tax and service charge added on top of them.

Certainly! Epcot is Disney's booziest park! You wouldn't be able to have the musician there for a first dance, but if you planned your DP through your Escape planner, they should be able to have your cake sent straight to your DP instead of your ceremony. If you still want to cut it at the ceremony, they'll probably just put it in a box afterward and leave you responsible for transporting it.

if you don't cut the cake after the ceremony, what happens with that time usually saved for it after the ceremony?

And can you have dinner instead of dessert at Epcot?

If you don't cut the cake you can still do the Champagne toast and first dances, plus take more photos (like with all your guests). You can have dinner in Epcot, but the food and beverage minimums are much higher than for dessert.

PrincessSoshi just explained to me in her pj that she wasn't allowed to have a full dinner at her DP. Is this maybe only an option for Wishes brides?

Well, a full dinner and a dessert party are two different things. If you want a full dinner, you get the space for longer and you pay much higher food and beverage minimums. A dessert party lasts one hour, has lower food and beverage minimums, and you can add a limited selection of hot and cold savory foods if you want—many brides here have done that. But it's not a sit-down meal.
