help with ebay

First time selling so I want to make sure I am doing the right thing. Sold something on ebay and got the payment by paypal this morning. Now can I wait till the payments clears through my bank and ship it out or should it be shipped now? I want to make sure I am doing the right thing. Thanks everyone.

You are supposed to ship as soon as you are notified that payment has been received. Yes you have to wait a short while to access the money but the money is there for you, essentially.

As soon as I see they made the payment I have it already to be shipped out. I look at it as if they are willing to pay right away I will take the time to get it out to them and I always send an email back that it is on the way.

You mail it right after the payment, Paypal will hold an echeck until it clears and tell you when to ship.

I am not working much right now so now I am starting to sell all of the stuff laying around the house. I already made 300 dollars so things are going well.

Good for you! I found eBay in 2003 after losing my parents AND my job. Since then it's been my "second job" and no matter what happens to my income, it's always there to fall back on.

It's not as big a money maker as it was a few years back but it's still an alternative.

What kind of things do you sell?

was a old computer that was lying around, a flip video camera that I won but have not used it since I made a video to get it, and a few books.Only thing that has not sold was the complete Kellog 50 Wobblers from Disney surprised that this did not sell and another old 5 pixel camera. Surprised at that also because I included a 2gb sd card, the camera, case, battery charger and a extra battery. That is on amzon and it had no other listing. I may give that a month and I may convert it over to ebay. I still got many more areas that need cleaning up. I do have a cast iron kettle set that I purchased but I am afraid that is too heavy to ship. There is plent more junk that needs to be gone through.

What kind of things do you sell?

I sell clothing, mostly but will sell whatever is marketable. I have two very good thrift stores I deal with for inventory that I go to every week. Knowing what sells is your bread and butter, so doing completed items searches are a must.

So far it's been priceless for me!
