We will be in Orlando with a group, staying offsite, and will arrive at park opening Wed. Nov. 29. The current itinerary has them going to Animal Kingdom Wednesday and Magic Kingdom Friday.

Animal Kingdom has emh morning Wednesday (which they aren't eligible for). Crowd calendar 3 both days.

MK has emh morning Friday, plus it closes at 6 for the Christmas Party, and no fireworks. Crowd calendar 3 Wednesday, 5 Friday.

I'm thinking of suggesting that they switch to avoid arriving an hour later than the EMH people, plus it gives them 3 extra hours til 9 pm in MK and they will be able to see the fireworks. On the other hand, that puts them in MK on a crowd calendar "5" day instead of "3." I know lots of people will avoid MK on a MVMCP day, so maybe the lighter crowds would enable them to do more in a 9 hour day versus a more crowded 12 hour day?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I think switching their park days is a good suggestion. More for the EMH issues than the difference in crowd levels from 3 to 5. Also - if they want go see the fireworks and MK at night then that would just add to my support of switching days. But yes - a lot can be done on party days due to lower crowds but given that closing for non party guests is now 1 hour earlier that eliminates what non party guests used to be able to do in the 6-7pm hour. If it were me I'd switch the park days.

If they only have one day at MK, I'd switch. If there's time to do another day, I'd leave it. If they're up to getting hoppers, I might leave it, and just hop to MK one night for the night time experience.

Thanks for the replies! It helps to bounce ideas off people who are just as obsessed with Disney as I am!

I'm going to be at WDW those same days. I'll be going to MK on Friday because it's my birthday and I have a party ticket. I'm staying at BLT so I can take advantage of the EMH, but I'm still debating on what I'm going to do on the 29th. EMH at AK or breakfast at The Wave. Decisions. Decisions. :)

Hope you all have a magical trip!
