We are going for ten nights at BCV in a 2BRV. First time we have stayed in these villas for such a long time. We plan to eat breakfast several mornings there and maybe lite dinners once or twice.

My question is: What item or items are absolutely necessary to include in your shopping list for everyday living in these Villas which Disney does not provide?

Just whatever food you need. They provide all the cleaning essentials and paper products as well as pots and pans etc. The only thing like that we have ever purchased was a large disposable roasting pan when we were in a GV with a large group once.

Coffee!!! Coffee, filter baskets & gallon water bottles to make the coffee with. You may also want extra laundry detergent & fabric softner sheets. Other than that, just the food, drinks and snacks that you want.

I consider coffee and tea to be part of the food budget. I did forget about the laundry detergent though. The last couple of times we have used an Oxyclean ball, and it was so easy to take and use.

Depends on how many in your party and what they like to eat. Also depends on whether you will truly cook and eat in the room or just store sodas and snacks, but I would always say extra coffee and you will need filters. Don't forget salt & pepper as DVC does not provide. As for the things I wished I'd thought of the first couple of times we went they include: a can of Pam, plastic wrap or baggies to store leftovers, and (it's not kitchen items) some basic first aid items just in case - band aids, moleskine, antibiotic ointment.

We are Five Adults, Two Children and two infant. What worries me the most is running out of trash bags, paper towels, TP and things like that.

I always bring down ziplock bags of various sizes. They come in handy for all sorts of things, from storing leftovers, to taking snacks into the park, to transporting wet clothes.

We haven't stayed long enough to really cook in the kitchen, just breakfast and lunches, so don't have enough experience to fully answer your question.

There will be extra TP in the bathroom. paper towels in the kitchen, and trash bags in the bottom of each trash container. IF you should run out of anything, a quick call to housekeeping will bring some replacements ASAP.

As for napkins...we usually just use paper towels for that.

we pack (or you could buy at the grocery store):
coffee filters
zip-lock bags (we use them for everything, so have quart & gallon sizes)
dryer sheets
teabags
my own shampoo/conditioner (they have, i just like my own)
a small mirror
sweet n low
microwave popcorn
salt/pepper
1 or 2 small tupperware-type containers

we buy at grocery store:
laundry deter, liquid softener
bottled water
beer/wine
coffee
milk
small sugar
snack foods (chips, etc)
loaf of bread, a few luncheon meats
condiments (catsup/mustard)
b'fast food (e.g., donuts, granola bars, cereal, etc)
air freshner

i also bring a nail scissor (for cutting moleskin, etc) & small screwdriver set (like for eyeglasses) ~ couldn't find them anywhere at the resort once :confused3 , so just bring them.
we hope to find someone arriving as we are leaving to take all our unopened bottled water (like last year). we also leave leftover laundry deter & liquid fabric softer in the laundry room.
hth :)
