Guys!

Hello. This is dirvig me nuts. I am the Disney"expert" and "planner" of my family and extended family. And well they rely on me for almost everything Disney related. I have not been back since Nov 2019 because of covid etc. Some of my relatives have made some trips and I have been able to guide them and help them with the info i have been gathering etc. However, when it comes to dining reservations, I have hit a dead end and hope you guys can help me.

I had a couin visit WDW December 2021, and I was not able to book him ANYTHING (yes anything) via my pc remotely using the WEBSITE. there were not dates or obviously no horus for any restaurant. Strangely he was able to book the following

Brown Derby for 2
Le cellier for 2
And even ogas canteena... How?

Then... a few days ago, my aunt was there... and i tired to book her on the Story book dining (the one at the wildeness lodge) and obviously there was nothing available. To my surprise... a few hours later... she was able to book for 2. HOW??!!!!! Am i missing something?

I am very troubled about this and help or guidance would be appreciated

No way there is NOTHING available. There's always something although it may be just more undesirable places or times. It's some kind of glitch. No one knows how Disney IT really works.

try signing out and signing in again or clearing your cache.

as for your aunt, she may have grabbed a cancellation, yes, that happens.

Are you just looking under lunch or dinner or trying actual times?

Great question. Definitely do both.

Also, sometimes we've noticed nothing shows available on the website whereas the app shows times.

That's Disney's not-so-magical tech for ya.

It's entirely possible, of course, that they simply caught times when someone had just canceled.

it is driving me nuts.
And of course i am checking DAY BY DAY.. breakfast, dinner. lunch etc... i have done THIS BEFORE..

I would definitely clear your cache, try incognito mode and also not sure if you've tried this but try particular times instead of breakfast, lunch, dinner and try different party sizes. I was looking for Chef Art Smith around 6 pm and nothing would show up for party of 2 but searched for a party of 3 and found one at the exact time.

My main interest is the Storybook telling at wilderness lodge
What dates/times are you looking for? I'm willing to take a peek to let you know about the availability I see. That way you can maybe narrow it down to whether there really is no availability or there's something wrong with your computer/tech.

If you're only looking for storybook dining, it's popular and if you're not on there right when they open it is likely nothing is available. Maybe try one of those services with dining alerts.

Well I guess the good news is that your phone/computer is probably working fine. The bad news is I just checked all the April dates 1-11 at varying times for parties of 2 or 4 and there's nothing. Perhaps sign up for TouringPlans free alerts? I've had great success with them.

I did our ADRs for April a week ago and they were much more difficult to get then I have seen in past years.
I was able to get the restaurants, but not all the times we wanted.
I have a reservation finder at touringplans and ***********. Both have come through already, 1 I got, the other I wasn't fast enough before it was gone. So they are reset.
I would keep stalking, but set the reservation finders.

I think the length of trip matters. April is Spring break/Easter. Lot of people book 6 or 7 nights. I was surprised to see BOG availability for our second day (60+2). Space220 lounge/lunch was only 60+6. Lounge had no seats for 4, only 2. Storybook dining (day 5+), steakhouse 71 and flying fish only had 4 seat openings.

Also, the dessert after party opened at 5:30 am but pre party didn’t open until 6; someone mentioned Upclose with Rhinos opened early as well. Space220 was at 6 am EST.

Definitely check times vs. dinner/lunch/breakfast. It’s amazing how much more you see by searching random times

The touringplans reservation finder is the way to go if you are under 60 days and want a popular place. We tend to eat early at the parks, 11 or 11:30 for lunch and 5 for dinner, so we have better luck checking specific times rather than meal categories. In the past, reservations seemed to open up 40 days before, a week before and the night before. So if your plans can be flexible, you might luck into something.
