Hi there! We'll be in DL Dec 3-8. Dec 3 is the Candlelight Processional so my plan was to avoid DL at all costs that afternoon/evening and see WOC with a dining package at Wine Country Trattoria. Only problem with that is it leaves Friday Dec 8th as our ONLY chance to see Fantasmic! (with Hungry Bear grab 'n go reservation) but Friday will also be mobbed (that is the last night SoCal AP's can be in the park).....Any words of wisdom? Would it be smarter to see WOC during the week since it plays nightly and maybe do Fantasmic! on Sunday night? Which would then also give us the backup plan of Friday night if Sunday gets rained out or something? Please helpe me think this through :)

I would get your dining package for Sunday night. We have done Fantasmic (either with a dining package or dessert party) during CP before and lived to tell the tale. ;) Just be smart and leave plenty of time to get to Hungry Bear and eat your food. And know it will be gridlock. But so will Friday night.

I'm always a fan of doing evening entertainment things as early in the trip as possible, just in case the show is cancelled for some reason. So, I would opt for F! on Sunday, with Friday as a back-up. With WoC being presented nightly, that should give you plenty of chances (Mon to Thu) to see it (WoC doesn't get cancelled very often, so that one seems less like a gamble to wait). I agree that as long as you leave yourself plenty of time and go expecting/planning for big crowds, you should be able to navigate the park and get your meal. Have a great trip!

Thanks guys, just made the switch :)
I was considering BB for dinner since you can "sit" during Fantasmic instead of stand, but looks like BB is already sold out that night :(

Keep watching if BB is what you prefer. People change around their plans all the time.

I'm really not sure what I prefer, lol. I'd prefer to NOT spend money on BB, especially with the children AND quite frankly because I don't care for their food....but being able to let the kids sit during the show would be AMAZING. We may even end up cancelling F! from our plans if the show isn't until 9pm....that's super late for my littles even with a good nap....but we'll see.

I still haven't decided if we want to do BB, RBC or HB. Hungry Bear is certainly less expensive. You can sit for any of those, just not with a cushion. Maybe you could bring a blanket or something for your group to fold up and sit on?

In the reviews I read (From Disneyland Daily) I Thought she pointed out that BB is the only one where you can sit....the others they make you stand up when the show starts. we can definitely do a blanket to sit on while waiting for the show to start, I'm mostly concerned with the kids having a good view if we have adults standing....and my daughter is 60lbs so she'd be a hard one to hold up for a 25 minute show (I did it last year for WOC when she was about 52lbs, just about broke my back!)

That wasn't my understanding so I just read her review. In the Hungry Bear review it says that technically the RBT and BB options are the only ones guaranteed to sit. Apparently in the HB section, they will ask you to stand if crowds are heavy and they need more room.

I'd love to hear some actual feedback from people who have been recently, to see if that's how it's being handled lately.

I'll make a new thread with the specific question and see what people say!

I booked BB package for Sunday the 3rd. We are also there from Dec 3-8, but leave that morning, so it was then since I really wanted to do it.
