Hello all,
We are finally just 3 days from our trip and I found out that the Christmas parade taping is on our MK day and we have a CRT reservation at 1:10pm
How difficult will it be to get to the castle that day?
Do you recommend that we get to the park at a certain time?
We have a breakfast reservation at WCC at 9am and we were going to head to the park right after. Would it be better to cancel the breakfast and head to MK as early as possible?
We are a family of 5 and we will be pushing our big double stroller through the crowds!
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

1. It can be a slow process. You can bypass the sidewalks of Main Street by ducking inside the Emporium and walking through the interconnected shops all the way down the street. (See #5.)

2-3. I'd not worry about when to arrive, if your plan is to go to MK after breakfast.
(Unless you have some other something that you have planned inside MK at a specific time.)

4. I wouldn't panic about it. I, personally, don't usually book an expensive TS breakfast and an expensive TS lunch on the
same day, just due to "too much food, too much money" issues.

5. That stroller is going to complicate your trip through the Main Street shops considerably.

I have never been there that day, but if am assuming it will be busier than normal. I would cancel the breakfast and get to MK for rope drop. Then you can make your way to the back of the castle and have some fun before your CRT reservation and avoid trying to navigate that stroller down Main Street once that parade starts taping. Good luck!

That won't work, as they will usually already have Main Street filled with guests by the time MK finally opens for regular guests.

I wouldn't cancel...the only issues you should have are getting from the gate to the Hub...they will funnel you into the Emporium, or "backstage" up the other side...since the check in for CRT is on the other side of the castle from the hub, I wouldn't worry about it being hard to get to.

Generally the crowds there for the filming will be on Main street ALL DAY...the only issues in moving about you may have are in Frontierland as then move parade floats from back-stage to the filming area...but it is less distrutive than a regular parade as they only move one at a time usually.

I've been twice during filming and the filming didn't get in the way of our plans at all...the big issue for us was both times those were Saturdays, and so the crowds were larger due to that reason, not the filming...in fact i heard it was less than a normal Saturday because of the filming was making more people choose a different park.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I'll keep our WCC reservation and just head over there ASAP. I planned our MK days so we wouldn't be there for the parade and then they go and change the date. Oh well! Maybe we will get to see something special or someone fun!

What are you hoping to accomplish at MK that day? I wouldn't give up rope drop for a breakfast ADR, but then we are rope drop people. Not everyone is. I would rather grab a quick breakfast, make rope drop, and try to get a few rides in without long lines that show up at an already jam packed park at 10:30.

Plus, a table service breakfast and a table service lunch (especially one that takes a while like CRT) would be way too much for my DD in one day. That's approximately 3 hours sitting at meals over only a 6 hour period.

I agree - this is far too much restaurant time in a short period of time. You will get 2-3 attractions in and then have to eat lunch.

I would totally cancel the breakfast and head to MK while the parade viewers are still interested in being on TV and not clogging up the parks as much.

You should have no problem getting to CRT via Tomorrowland. Getting the double stroller thru main street will be a trick - if the backstage access to tomorrowland is open - take it!!
