Hello. We are planning a trip in 2018 that will involve my DH, DS (12), DD (11)...and this time we are bringing my parents both in their 70s and my 2 nieces (ages 3 and 5). My nieces have not been to DW and we are excited to introduce them to the magic and pixie dust. We are torn between going over spring break which is the week before Easter or somewhere in the last 2 weeks in June.

The weather should be much more pleasant in March but I am guessing that particular week of spring break will be crazy at the parks and the resorts will be expensive. In June it will be HOT but I am guessing not quite at busy and less expensive.

What say you Disney World experts....Spring Break Madness or June heat??

Thank you!!

Bump for help! We usually rent points and would need to do so soon if we are going over spring break!! Thank you!:)

We love the summer! Rope drop, afternoon breaks, back to the parks in the evening.

I'd do June. The crowds will be much lighter. Summer is totally manageable with lots of water and strategically timed breaks.

We have done the week before Easter and the last week in June. DW HATED June and loved March. Personally, if I have the time and $$ to be there, I would rather be at WDW whenever I can get there.

As I am from Tampa, I would say March is better for the parks. My family does not swim in the pool or beaches in March or April. The water is still too cold for us. So if you want to do waterparks and pools, June would be better. We were at the Shades of Green in March and DD wanted to go swimming. She put one foot in and was like, nope, nevermind. She did get in the pool at Shades of Green on our trip the first weekend of May as the water was tolerable. (both trips for cheer competitions).

If you're going to rent points, then I'd say June - check out the price differential because the 2 weeks around Easter are as expensive as Christmas/New Year's, and are starting to get booked up already. The weather will be better around Easter/end of March also, so I guess it comes down to whether you're willing to pay extra in point rental to have better weather. Crowds should be about the same.
