We got our docs for our March 8th cruise. [:D] I have completed the online check-in.
When they review all that we need to bring, it mentions a Bahamas immigration form. I could find no such thing online.
Someone mentioned it will be in with my docs. It isn't. Where can I find one, please?
Also, we do not have DME luggage tags, only the lime green ones for the ship.

Since we are in Canada.....does that make the difference?

TIA

Call your TA..the Immigration card is small..approx 3x7 or so...and would have been supplied by the Cruiseline in the Documents.

As for the ME tags, Disney is notorious for not sending, it is not a huge deal, but again, your TA can call them and they will courier those as well.

Good Luck!

The cruise line will also have plenty of Bahamas Immigration forms (cards) on hand at the terminal when you're checking in. One form is needed per passenger. They're easy to fill out as you stand in the check-in line waiting your turn.

Our TA supplied the Bahamas immigration forms (everything was sent to her). I asked about ME tags and she spent a long time speaking with a rep who said because we were Canadian we had to claim our luggage to go through customs. It didn't matter how many times she told her we cleared customs in Toronto this person kept saying "that's still in Canada". We just claimed our own luggage and then made our way over to ME and it was no problem. They loaded our luggage on the bus and we got it when we got off the bus at the resort. It was a bit of a pain because we were very far away from our room with luggage for 4 people but it was nice to know we had all our bags before we left the airport.

There are a lot of Disney Employees that are ill-informed too.

Canadian's should also get the ME tags...but it's very hit and miss at best.
I think it's wise to eyeball your own bags too upon arrival-just to be sure! So tags or no tags...no big whoop!

you know, after reading your responses, I have decided to:
not worry about the immigration card...if I need one, I can get it at port
just schlep our own luggage to DME
neither of these will impact on our trip..right? CAN"T WAIT!!!!

Thanks, guys.

Disney Cruise Line just changed their system and have been super slow in updating all the forms/websites. They finally got wise and now digitally send the bahamas forms on behalf of the guests. Since for every guest it was all the same (staying no nights, on vacation, coming from Port Canavral etc)

The big issue is although they are now doing this, there freaking everyone out by not updating the paperwork, so everyone panics thinking they weren't sent one accidently.

So, no worries, your all good :thumbsup2

The last set of tickets I received for clients (I'm a TA), DME tags were combined on the cruise tags ~ they said PTRV (Port Orleans Riverside) and had the cabin number printed on them. They were blue. That replaced the ME separate baggage tags. Now, they flew from Buffalo so maybe that is different than Toronto but I don't think so.

Have your travel agent call and ask ~ there is no need to drag your luggage around if you don't need to!

The forms will be at the termial. We were told by our travel agent that we only need one per family and that is all that came with our package. When we got to the terminal they made us write one for each person.

My sister just came back from WDW two weeks ago and they said they made her go through customs in Orlando too even though she flew out of Toronto. :confused3 It must be something new they are doing down there.

You do only need one per family and if they aren't in the Doc pkg..not to worry! With all the Cruiselines going to E-Docs now it is hard to be sure who has what..and I kind of miss having my 'finger in that pie' so to speak! Half the time the Cruiselines do not know the right answer either as things change so often!

I just came back from Orlando..I did not clear Immigration/Customs at all again in Orlando? Cannot think what might have happened..:confused3

We went last Jan. and we did needed one per person in the family :confused3 They will let you know there anyway and have all the forms.

I am not sure what the custom thing is about. We fly out of Buffalo so I thought that is why we didn't have to in Sept.

Perhaps they just sent that many--but it is one per family.

I have no idea what the custom issue is though..as I said...I haven't experienced that at all?:confused3

No this happenned when we got to the terminal. We only had one filled out that came with our package. Then the CM there at the terminal made us fill out the rest. Some one else on this thread also said it is one per person too....:confused3 I think it used to be that way because I remember only filling one out before but like I said this was last Jan.

Either way they are available there..

Have a great trip. Right now I wish I was going somewhere with no snow.

Well--DCL do things abit different it always seems but technically--one per family. I have been selling cruises for years and that's how it is. I just finished packing up Docs for 8 people (2 families) and rec'd only 2 Immigration forms..go figure.
