Hi!

I just booked my cruise for April out of Miami and am working on my excursions. It is me, my husband and two daughters ages 7 and 10.

I want to book my cozumel excursions and hope for some input. I have narrowed it down to the Fury Catamaran and a day at the beach.

I think we would all have a great time on the Fury but I worry about it being rushed. Also my 10 year old is full price ($58 which seems crazy) and she obviously will not be drinking alcohol and does not even like soft drinks. Will they make fruity non alcoholic drinks for kids?

If we head for the beach, I see that there are are a few options Paradise Beach, Mr. Sancho's, & Nachi Cocom.

DH and the kids are hoping to snorkel some. I think they would like the inflatables too. I am sure DH would be happy with all inclusive drinks.

Is there any decent snorkeling right off the beach?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

we did Fury Catamarran in August...i was a little hesitant but my 9YO daughter was dying to go....well worth the $$$ and we all had a ball...

i never felt rushed but i would say i'd be much happier to pay twice the $$$ and make it an all day event.....

Thanks for your feedback!!! Could kids get fruity non alcoholic drinks? Did you feel like you have enough time for snorkeling and at the beach?

How was the food at the beach? What did you do for the remainder of the day in Cozumel once the excursion was over?

there's plenty of soda and other drinks for kids...they had a barbecue at the beach where you could buy hamburgers, etc...since it was still only 11AM we decided not to eat....

more than enough time snorkeling but would've liked more time on the beach....we just went back to the boat, rode the aquaduck and hung out on the pool deck once we returned...

Thanks! I am starting to lean towards the beach now since it would be about the same price and all day. We have two sea days before and after Cozumel so I feel like we may want to be off the ship that day.

Anyone else do they Fury? Go back to the ship for lunch and then do something else off the ship after lunch. Shop etc.? My kids and DH won't want to do much shopping though.

Anyone have any feedback on Paradise Beach, Mr. Sancho's, & Nachi Cocom?

My take on the Fury's Catamaran:
The free margaritas, all you want, are fairly watered down. Beer is available too.
The food on the beach is not included so if you think your are going to want to eat, take some cash. We didn't eat so I cant' say how it was.
Take $$$ for pictures - they take a group photo as you board, underwater photos when you are snorkeling, another picture in the water before you get back on the boat and some on the beach. They are great photos, size 6x8 and $12 each. And you are going to want them. We had 6 photos so it was $72. Eye candy bonus - photographer looks like Johnny Depp.
They are very well organized and watch over everybody in the group closely.
There are also some vendors with bracelets, necklaces and whatnot souvenirs available.
We would have enjoyed having more beach time - an hour flew by. The trampoline and inflatable slides are super fun, but also a lot of work.
The boat ride back to the dock was fun - they played music, lots of the kids and some of the moms got up and did some line dancing. Super cute! (well, except for me - those pics got deleted).

I would not opt for any of these beaches, Paradise Beach, Mr. Sancho's, & Nachi Cocom. To me, a far better option is to take a taxi on your own and enjoy Palancar Beach.

WOW really- Paradise beach was awesome-the water toys were a huge hit with our gang and the water is beautiful. We will be going again if we book another cruise. We took a taxi on our own.

Do you mind telling us a little more about it. Thank you :)

I just asked this, too! Guess I should have read. I am out of Miami in April. When do you sail?

We leave on April 13.

I am annoyed that Disney charges adult prices for 10 year olds for the excursions like the Fury. When I go to the Fury website, they have a lower price for kids 6-12 which makes sense.

I am starting to lean more and more towards Nachi Cocom. They have a water trampoline for just $2 more.

Anyone have any recent reviews of Nachi Cocum? DH really wants to snorkel though so maybe I will just send him out on one the two hour snorkel boat rides from Nachi Cocum and the girls and I will hang out at the pool and beach.

We are on the April 27th sailing. :) Is Nachi Cocum with Disney Cruise excursions or would you do that alone? I am trying to figure out where to go as well.

Linda - Was it very crowded? Did you just take a taxi and then pay for chairs and your own food and drinks? How was the food?

Are the inflatables very deep? My girls are not very tall.

We are sailing 4/27 too:wave2:

Still deciding on our excursions. Temped to just do paradise beach and then return to ship. I wanted to see the ruins on Cozumel but seems like they arent impressive and the length of time it would take may not be worth it. I wanted to do just a bit more then beach.
