Help with choosing Cali Grill dinner time!

I have a 9:05 res on 12/8 and a 7:05 res on 12/9. Both of these nights are MVMCP.
Which time would you choose and what fireworks would you view? (Wishes or MVMCP).
I'm not asking which show you think is better, rather a logistics/timing question. Thanks!

Ah, thank you! I see that Holiday Wishes is at 10pm.
Given that, I see my option are the 7pm reservation, eat and then venture to the deck with some drinks and wait for the fireworks,
or take the 9pm reservation and potentially leave our meal to watch out the window. I have never eaten at CG before but we will be having drinks, apps and dessert to help with a timeframe.

We made reservations twice for CG 1 hour before wishes, and both times the waitress and waiter timed it out perfectly so that we were not mid coarse when Wishes began.

Dinner at a signature restaurant typically takes 90 minutes to 2 hours for apps, entree and dessert. Since you are planning just drinks, apps and dessert it will probably be closer to 90 minutes.

If you choose the 7:05 res you will definitely be done before the 10:00 fireworks. You could sit at the lounge with a drink or explore the shops on the 4th floor. You can show your dinner receipt at the 2nd floor check in podium and you will be able to come back up for the fireworks.

With the 9:05 reservation you will probably be finished with apps, then go outside to watch the fireworks and come back to your table for dessert. Let your server know you want to go outside to see the fireworks and they will pace your meal so that you are between courses. We often order dessert, then head outside.

Exactly. Ask your server to time your meal choices so that you can enjoy Holiday WIshes, It is lovely.

Keep in mind if you eat early and want to see the late fireworks, you are allowed to go back up to the restaurant and go onto the deck to watch them.

Last week, we had a 7:30 ADR with Wishes at 10. We were done by 9 and went down to find the hidden Olafs in the gingerbread display, did some shopping, and popped back up at about 9:45. We were still able to stand with nobody around us and enjoy the fireworks

ETA: Even my Disney-Scrooge DH admitted "that was cool."
