Hi - Thanks to a great deal we're going to be booking a trip for Sept/Oct. The deal includes a stay at a "Value" resort.

I'm thinking Pop Century but wanted to hear which one everyone likes the best and why.

Also, when I called up reservations I explained to the guy that we were 3 adults and 2 children and he told me that they'd charge an extra $10/night for the extra adult in the room but everything I've read say 4 max./room. Has anyone experienced this with an extra adult? Adding an extra room to the package runs us almost $300 more since it's single occupancy.

Thanks everyone :)

All I can comment on is the All Star Movies.

Our first visit in 2002 we stayed in the Dalmations section and we were very happy with our stay. The staff could not be more accomadating! They bent over backwards for us. The rooms were spotless and very quiet.(We requested a room far from the pool). The themes on each building are very well done. Although,I thought the Jack in the Box thingy was a bit scary. The huge Buzz and Woody are really a must see.

That being said, we went back to the Movies in 2004 and stayed at the Love Bug section for a night before heading over to CSR and we were disappointed in the resort. The staff made us feel like we were an imposition, the room looked like it had not been cleaned in a year. Outside the room smelled like a cat did its business all over the place. It took over an hour to get some toilet paper. The food court looked like a tornado had been through it -papers,trays all over the place.(The cleaning ladies were just standing around doing nothing!)We complained and all the lady at the desk said was that it was a value resort not a ???<<@@## deluxe! We decided that we won't stay there again.

As for the extra charge for an adult, this is normal. I applaude you for being honest about the extra adult, alot of people would try to lie about it.

Wherever you stay you will probably hear good and bad so don't worry too much. If there is a problem just go to the manager.

Have fun, remember to report back!

I can only comment on All-Star Sports, b/c that's the only one I've stayed at. We have stayed there for a week the past 2 Julys (both times the week immediately after the 4th), and loved it! Heck, we're never there anyway, we're at the parks, so as long as the bed is comfortable, the a/c works and the tv has a remote, we're in good shape. The great thing about AS Sp is that they are first on the bus stop - the first to be picked up in the morning and the first to be dropped off at night. That makes it pretty nice, but for the time period you're going (Sep/Oct) it shouldn't really matter anyway b/c it's so slow during that time (compared to July, that is).

We have stayed both times in the preferred locations (the Surf's Up building by the pool and food court). It makes it really convenient to get to both the pool and the food court, which are right next door, and you're also close to the main lobby and the bus stop, which is nice. It wasn't too loud for us, by the end of the day we had no trouble going to sleep!

We stayed at POP over Christmas and I can't say enough good things about it.We stayed in the 60's section, had a GREAT room, great bus service, good fun at the Food Courtloved the pool area and the over-all theming of the resort.I would not hesistant to stay there again.

Everything I have read and undertand is that any room can house 4 people and one infant under the age of 3 in a crib but remember the room is small, 240 sq feet. I also believe that it is 15 dollars a day for an extra adult in a value or mod. You may want to consider 2 rooms, then you have 2 of everything.

Why don't you check on POR bayou section. This has 2 double beds and a trundle bed ideal for a young child and a little more room, perhaps you can get a good rate there. Also free refrigerators. Value charges for them

I've only stayed at Pop and my friend and I loved it! Overall, a wonderful resort! :)

I have not stayed at one yet but I am headed to the POP in less than 5 weeks. We are looking forward to it. I have been told that if you stay at the All Stars to stay at the Sports resort. If you are not a sports fan, no big deal. How long are you going to be in the room anyway? This was recommended because you will be first on and first off Disney transportation. But I chose POP because it is a much larger resort, much more spread out. Don't know if this helps but hope you enjoy.
