Help with choice please.......

Hi all
We are renting some points next year and wanted your expert opinion on what each resort has to offer,room size,kid activities,resturants access to parks and geneal theming.We have stayed at pop CBR and POR in disney so we have some disney experience.The people we are hoping to rent from have their home resort as SSR but I really like the look of WLV,AKLV BWV and OKW.Any info on any of these would be great.I have read the thread on BW and BC below so that has given me an insight into those two which sound great .We are hoping to go the 10th Dec '08' for weeks and there is my DH and DD5 as well as myself We are looking at a studine thing what is the difference between a value and a standard as there is a big saving if value is booked.Thankyou all

Each resort is a little Different. Call Disney and tell them you are considering buying DVC. They will send you Fabulous info and brochures and points charts and resort info....all free... A dvd then a gorgeous in color book. It's worth the call just to have the info... When my son was 5 we stayed in Wilderness and felt it was perfect. Beautiful at Christmas, and cool stuff also. Not quite a pool time of year. Studios are around 105 points a week. There's a boat dock to MK out back and you can disembark at MK and take the Monorail to Epcot without entering Mk. Also takes you to the other hotels on the Monorail so you can look at their decortations. GF built a real gingerbread house in the lobby... Cool stuff... AK with animal view is a must for some children, but only if they're are animal buffs. My son not so much. You just are stuck with the buses everywhere you go. OKW, and SSR also only buses. I dislike the buses and try to avoid them. However, we also need them some. I just try to cut down on that need. MK is the popular park for that age and you must do the The Christmas Party the parade alone is great. They also have a special Christmas Show at the MK really great w/limited showings, but does play at the Christmas party. Investigate do what you love. There are always unique things at the holidays.

If you are renting from an SSR owner, and looking at December of 2008 you will be quite limited at the 7 month window as far as what other resorts may be available. For a December vacation, I'd rent from an owner of the resort you really want to stay at.

If you'd be disappointed to "settle" for SSR, I'd look elsewhere to rent points.
