Help with car rental

We are booked at the RPH in December. We will be driving up from Miami to go to Universal for three days. I know they have a Hertz car rental counter there on site, but does anyone know of any other car rental companies close by. It doesn't make sense to pay 15 per night parking and two extra days rental on a care when I know we won't be using it. Any help or ideas here would be highly appreciated.

when i need info such as what you need, i google it.

then i call the place for direct info.


why not just use Hertz?
you rent it in miami, drive to the hotel and turn it back into hertz.

when you need to come home, rent it again for one way.

if the 2 one way rentals are too high, think about just paying the parking fee if it is cheaper in the long run.

I think its going to cost about the same by the time you are done. They get you with a one way rental which is alot more than one day rental. I was going to do this next month since I'm spending a week onsite but it just was $50 more to keep the rental all week. Go to Hertz website and you can put in one way rental, but I believe you have to return it to a main hub like the airport. I'm not 100% sure but you could call your local Hertz to find out.

I just checked the Hertz website and Royal Pacific is on the return list. I did it just for an afternoon pickup to Royal Pacific and it was $69 for a Ford focus. Here is the web page for booking one way.

You can use this link to find the car rentals in the international drive area. The closest one would be the Alamo at the Sheraton Studios Four Point. Make sure you check the times though since some of the rental counters are only open from 8-5 and some are closed on Sundays.

I know there's an Alamo at Sheraton Studio City (about half a mile away) and a Dollar at the Holiday Inn (about 2 miles away).
