I had a ressie for Sept. 09 that I changed to Valentine's weekend '10. I had a $200 deposit for the Sept. reservation and there wasn't any fee to change it to Feb. I've decided to just cancel the ressie since we aren't going to have the funds anytime within the next year. The CS person said there would be a $100+ cancellation fee (+ was resort fees? :confused3). So in inquired about just changing the ressie to Feb. '11 but he said there would be a $50 change fee. Is this correct? Not wanting to actually lose the deposit, I was hoping to just keep postponing because eventually we will get there; but apparently not. Either way it appears I'm out something. Can anyone confirm that this is correct, or know of a way to eliminate the fee? I'm game for either full cancellation or rescheduling. TIA!!

My guess would be that you are now under the 45 day mark.

This is when the change/cancellation fees take effect.

So I would say that, yes, you will incur one or the other.

I would change the res to a far away date, pay the change fee, then call back sometime and cancel the res entirely.

That way you'll pay $50 instead of $100.

To be sure, check the calendar to see if you are under 45 days from today.

Edit: DUH!! My brain just turned on! You are definitely under the 45 day mark for Valentine's Day week-end.
