Hi,

Here's the deal!! Need some ideas on what to do with 213 points for 2006. UY is Feburary & home is BCV.

Would like to take 2 trips. One short (3 to 4 days) & a longer one! Maybe a whole week if we could manage it,
Could deal with a studio for the shorter trip. Would prefer a 1 bedroom for the longer.

I was thinking late July/early August before going back to school. Was thinking of going to HH. Could be for a week or a few days.

For going down to WDW. Mid december would be good. Classes end around the 14th. So to be safe the 16th or so. Obvisely BCV will be a MUST as it is pre-holiday!! I can always switich @ 7 months. Could also go in May too. Always do! Was thinking of BCV & SSR, OKW, BWV. Maybe OKW would help conserve points???

So if someone would be willing to calculate the points for me & give me suggestions, I would appreciate it as I'm @ college now.

TIA
Allison

Why not just go to the top of the page and hit the link for the Dis-Boards point calculator? That will give you a rough idea and you can work your own numbers.

Do you by any chance have my free DVC-Planner program? If not you can get it by following the link in the signature below.

It was created specifically to help in planning DVC vacations. You simply click on the calendar screen to plan any vacation you want.

One feature is to compare the points requirements at all resorts for any given dates. I plugged in a 7-day vacation starting in late July 2006 to get the results. A screen shot is shown below. You can get that 7-day vacation for as little as 102 points at VB, or up to 800 points for a Grand Villa at BWV.

Note that a 1-B/R at OKW for those dates is 218 points so you'd be a little short. And with that it would still only be 1-vacation, not two. You could make it a 6-day vacation, or do the longer vacation in mid December when it's Choice season instead of Magic season. 7-days beginning Dec 16th, 2006, will get you a 1-B/R at OKW for 172 points.

Download and install the planner. It will make it a lot easier.

(Note - image is slightly blurry because I increased the image compression to keep the byte size as small as possible. It would be clear on your monitor when using the actual program.)
