help with buying a cake

HI all
I have a question! we will be renewing our wedding vows at disney in our own way on the beach, but we wanted to get a cake to share with the family, we will have a car and wanted to just go to somewhere like walmart or a store that sells just the quarter sheet cakes, what is close to disney, we will be staying at the wilderness lodge villas, i was hoping to find a place and be able to call to get a cake made and for us to pick it up so leaving the site isnt an issue, can someone help with stores and locations please!! we just need a basic cake and i am bringing my own topper for it!

There's a very nice grocery store Goodings that makes wonderful baked goods, they are in the CrossRoads shopping center Lake Buena Vista. S.R. 535 407-827-1200

I don't mean to be trouble, but it's against Disney rules to hold a wedding or wedding event on property without going threw Disney themselves.

If cast members see you they can ask you to leave.

Anyway, I wish you luck. Walmart is pretty close to property. You could also call the cake hotline they can do a cake for a reasonable price and deliver it to your resort or restaurant. I know the Grand Floridian can do sheet cakes as we'll be serving them at our Disney Wedding next year. I think a quarter cake is $15-25 and they have a lot of options.

I would highly recommend Publix (it's a grocery chain abundent in Florida).
They have a Bakery Department and they make wonderful cakes to just about any specification.

I second Publix. I love their cakes. I think the closest is just down past the Gaylord Palms and 192.
Congrats. I have friends "doing their own Disney wedding" this fall. They will have deli trays and the cake from Publix.

thank you for all the information, we are just having my sister read our vows by the beach and then we will go back to the hotel room for cake and punch so not like its a big event or anything, just a few minutes in the beach area no decorations or even fancy clothes, i think it will be ok! but thank you so much!
