Hello everyone-

I tried searching for the answer to this question but failed epically :)

One of the nights during my trip to WDW in September I will be at DHS for Fantasmic! The park closes at 9 PM and MK has evening EMH until 1 AM. Is it possible to take the bus park to park after DHS closes or will I need to take the bus to a monorail resort and then the monorail to MK?

Thanks for your help!!

Jodi

Buses should be available to all usual locations, including other parks, until DHS is clear of Guests. If you're one of the last to leave, you may be directed to shared bus; for example, the bus might stop at WL & CR before MK.

When we were there in February, there were no park to park buses. We took the boat to the Swan, then walked through to the bus stop, and caught a bus to MK.

Normally buses do not take guests to parks that are in the process of closing (after extra magic hours if any). But they will take guests back to that park to retrieve cars in the parking lot.

Thanks for all of the great info everyone. If there is not a bus to MK I know I still have the option to go to a monorail resort if need be.

Also I didn't think about taking to the boat to one of the Epcot resorts and then bus from there. That's a great option as well! :)

Or bus from DHS to the Contemporary and walk over to the MK- it's less than 10 minutes.

I considered that one too. Luckily MK is open until 1 AM so I have plenty of time to get over there and quite a few good choices.

There are park to park buses,if MK is open until 1am you should easily be able to get a bus to MK.

Where did you get that information? We've used the park-to-park buses several times. There are a small number of exceptions, such as going between MK and EPCOT where you take the monorail instead of a bus, but in general there are park-to-park buses.

You may have to ask a CM for a bus to another park at closing time. They will dispatch a bus or change a route to accommodate you. But if MK is open that late you may well find a scheduled bus still running.

Unfortunately you got wrong information from someone. There are park to park buses.

Which is not the scenario the poster asked about. The Magic Kingdom will not be in the process of closing.

You will be able to get a bus to the MK from DHS after Fantasmic. And, it will drop you right at the regular resorts bus stops...no more going to the TTC and then having to take the monorail or ferry over to MK!
There have been park to park buses for as long as I can remember.
