Help with Budgeting

We have decided that we will budget for ONE character meal (we do have QS dining). After considering the options, the family decided on Cape May because of the reports that the food is good and that the price is the lowest.

My question comes with trying to figure out what it is actually going to cost us. I know that for our family, the cost will be $67.96 and we have to add tip to that. What I don't know is how much the tax will be on the meal....can anyone help with this? If it helps, I got the pricing from the allears website and I do not think it includes tax.

I believe Fl tax rate would be 6.5% ; 7% max though.

Thanks! We are trying to have all the money we need in cash/traveler's checks/Disney Dollars so that we are not charging anything on the trip. This will help figure out our one big meal.

If you are also figuring the cost of counter service meals at the Animal Kingdom, AKL or All Star resorts remember their tax is higher. I had noted somewhere that the tax rate everywhere else is 6.5%, but I don't remember the AK area rate. Sorry.

What we are doing to make sure we have everything paid for in advance instead of just having cash and traveler's checks is putting money on a Disney gift card. That worked out great for us last year.
