I will be staying at the BWV and I booked through CRO. Since I am not a DVC member and I am not staying on points can I still use the DVC rec center? I have asked CM's 3 times and 2 said yes and 1 said no. :confused3

Thanks in advance for your help.

By rec center, I assume that you mean the Community Hall. If so, the answer is yes - Community Hall is for all the guests of the BWI & BWV. Doesn't matter how you pay for your room or whether or not you are a DVC member.

AFAIK, other than some discounts, there are no amenities at the BWI/BWV resort that are just for DVC members.

Best wishes -

Thanks so much Carol! This is really good to know as we will be staying at the hotel and playing on the days we think the parks will be busiest.

Also since you are paying cash, you will get maid service everyday, not just trash and towel on the 4th day or so.

Have you thought of renting points. There is big difference in the price and trash and towel isnt every day. They are renting for $10-$11 per point.

Look on the DVC board for info. I did it and stayed at VWL last year and it was great.

There are different rates at Community Hall for differnt activities...whether you are a member or not. Just be aware that some activities will cost you a few dollars. For instance...mid-June we stopped by, (we were at BCV), and dd wanted to paint a piggy bank. I think it was about $4 for DVC members and a few dollars more for non-members. Have fun....we love the Community Hall.

Hi, Yes, we did and we have also rented points before with wonderful results - thanks so much for the suggestion! This time though the MYW plan with free dining actually wound up costing less. I do hope we will still be able to get a good view. :flower:
Thanks Mary Anne - I will love getting maid service everday. ;)
To Goofy4tink: Thanks for the heads up about the costs of things - I had no idea and I wonder if they mind if adults want to paint piggy banks? That sounds like my cup of tea! :earboy2:
