Help with Birthday ticket

We have booked a free dining package with a one day base ticket for three nights at CSR. My daughter's birthday is on the day we use the one day base ticket for DHS. Will we be able to choose one of the three options instead of getting her free ticket? I read on the boards that these options are not avaliable for a one day base ticket with a package.

I didn't think the birthday options have anything to do with your WDW package. You could live in FL or be staying at HoJo's and still have the same options.

No. You cannot get one of the options unless you have (and will be using) a multii-day ticket. If you have a package and it only has the one-day, one-park, ticket all you will be able to get for the Birthday is the Birthday Ticket, which is valid that day only.

says that if you are using a passholder or multi day pass on your bday you can get a fast pass or a 1 day myw ticket to be used until your next bday or a gift card for the amount of the 1 day myw base ticket for an adult if you are an adult or a child ticket if you are a child. Hmmm, they did hear it from the source --- cheshirefigment. You can only get the gift card if you have a multi-day ticket or AP. OP, just get the free birthday ticket and save the one day ticket for another trip or for upgrading to a multi-ticket in the future.

What tickets are you using for the rest of the vacation?

For 3 days in the theme parks and you have a 1 day ticket and a 2 day ticket, you can use the tickets in any order and get the birthday gift card by showing the ticket with more than 1 day and usable on your birthday.

For 4 or more days in the theme parks it is better to use just one ticket card all vacation long and a 1 day package ticket can be upgraded as needed making you eligible for the birthday gift card (or fastpass card).
