Help with birthday meal

Ok...so our trip is on a budget(keeps getting smaller since things seem to be unravelling here)...so we don't have a fortune to spend on food. My husband's birthday is actually the 11th but we are going to be celebrating it the weekend of the 1st while we are at Disneyland... wanted to do a b-day trip but his schedule at work didn't allow it. I am wondering where we can take him for a nice meal(and dessert) that won't break the bank.

If you two like mexican food or italian I suggest signing up at the Patina website. Sorry do not have it handy, but easy enough to google. If you use his name and birthday you should get a email with a gift certificate for 30.00 off a meal. Used it for mine and it was great. Our meal ended up costing us about 20 with tip. We did not get dessert however. Still, depending on what you eat etc it will help a lot!!

I took my DD to Blue Bayou for her birthday lunch and spent about 30.00 We actually split a meal because we are not big eaters and she had her birthday button which got her free sundae. I know he is a grown-up but I still recommend the birthday button. A number of the eateries do a small free dessert for people having birthdays.

For either I do recommend a reservation, which you can do through the Disney Dining line.

Cafe Orleans is a nice setting--you can sit outside, very pleasant. They have some good choices and I believe you get free Mickey beignets for your birthday.

Carnation Cafe has excellent food, also an outside setting.

Blue Bayou is really expensive. Not sure if it's just the two of you, but our meal for four (our kids split an adult meal) was over $100 with a tip. It's a quite pricey meal. Atmosphere is awesome, but if you're trying to stay on a tight budget I'd go somewhere else.
