2 years ago we celebrated our DS's 1st birthday at the Garden Grill. I told the CM who took the ressie that it was our son's special day and that I wanted to know what to do to get a cake. She said she would note it on our ressie. Well, after the meal Mickey brought out a birthday cake and everybody sang Happy Birthday. There was no charge for this cake.......it was about an 8 or 9 inch round cake that had a picture of Mickey on it and read Happy Birthday (not personalized). We are heading back to WDW for our DS's 3rd birthday next month and we have ADR for Garden Grill again. I've been reading on the boards that you now have to order birthday cakes from a bakery at the GF. Is this just for personalized cakes, or for all birthday cakes? I thought it was great that the Garden Grill provided this cake. Thanks!

We just celebrated our son's 4th birthday last September and we ordered a cake for him at Liberty Tree Tavern. It was a white cake with Mickey on it - good size - and cost $12.50 or so?? We just ordered it when we made the ADR's and that was that.

If you want something personalized you'll have to call the restaurant direct. WDW-DINE can give you the phone numbers for all of them.

Enjoy the birthday!
