My DH and I will be staying at the VWL in Dec. for the first time. We are new DVC members and I was wondering if anyone that has stayed at the VWL could give us any info on the best studio rooms there. Do they have any looking onto the courtyard? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no courtyard at the villas. WL has many rooms with courtyard and water view, but not the villas.
Most VWL views are of the woods. Some rooms face the water and you may see some of it through the trees. There are a few rooms that overlook the pool and have a view of the lake. These rooms are also near the elevators.

So, you might request a water view (if you'd like that) and/or near the elevators.

Woops! Forgot to say WELCOME HOME. VWL is our home resort and we love the peace and serenity there. The WL and the villas are decorated extra special at the holiday time. They seem like the best resorts to be if the weather is cool --- you can really enjoy the fire places.

Thanks for the info. We also love going to WDW in Dec. with all the holiday decorations.

We stayed in #302 studio back in March. It overlooked the villa entrance area/bus stop area/DVC Mickey Sign topiary area. It was a great room I thought. ("bus stop" sounds like it is not a good room, but it's not right below your room or anything, so it's fine. Also around the corner from the elevators.

hth :)

Click on my link- there's a picture of me standing on the balcony of studio #4543 and you cang get a glimpse of the view.....We overlooked the wooded area and was pretty peaceful- we enjoyed it!!!!
