Help with baby girl names

We've have 11 yr old twin dds named Jamie Lynn and Lee Ann Mary. Both names are variations of family names. 8 yr old dd is Julia Fay. Until I was 7 mos pg she was going to be Katherine, Kate for short. Now I can't imagine her being anything other than Julia.

Be sure to practice yelling whatever name you choose. Nothing worse than trying to be firm with your child and the name doesn't roll off your tongue.

Hi and first of all many congratulations for the impending arrival of your daughter!!
My dd's are
Elisabeth Jayne - I always wanted a daughter so I could call her Beth - well when I looked at her she just wasnt a Beth!!! So she is mainly known as Lisa
Victoria Ann - shortened to Vicki
They are my two princesses - or should they be classed as Queens rather than princesses!!
I am taking great interest in this thread as Lisa is expecting a babe in March and so just in case its a girl Im taking notes!!!

We have a Lauren Evelyn and an Abigail Marie. Congratulations on your soon to be princess!! princess:

You can nik-name her Danni for short if you wish...If you like the boy theme...

my little princess is named Alexis. we sometimes call her lexy. If we were to have another girl we would most likely either go with Mckenna, Peyton or Jordanna.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

We have 3 daughters and one son, and I was so glad I had more girls until they became teenagers! The sonogram reading was wrong (or "hard to read" as the technician said) only once, so we were prepared to have a boy but was surprised by our second daughter. I ended up naming her the chosen boy name anyway, and 15 years later, that name fits her perfectly! The following names are not prize-winners by any means, but after YEARS of saying them over and over daily, I still like them!

Kaylian Hope (Hope is my mother's name; we call her "Kayli")

Corley Louise (Louise is my ex-MIL's first name, and Corley is her maiden name; we call her Corley)

Walton Keith,III (Named after my now-deceased FIL; we call him Keith)

Carlyn Jean (Jean was my MIL's middle name; we call her Carlyn)

Carlyn was the only child we made an effort to name with the letter "C". At the time we had 2 "K's" and only 1 "C" name, so we needed another "C" so she wouldn't feel special. So far, two families in our community have followed suit and named their daughters Carlyn because they knew my Carlyn and liked the name. And as for naming children after grandparents, we liked the idea (as did the grandparents), but I can't say the kids do!! Good luck!

My daughter's names

Renee Camille
Emily Olivia

I wasn't sure about Emily, because it was so common. But my name is common (Kathy) for people my age and it wasn't so bad. A lot of people are named Renee, but it's a middle name. When I look on the display for personalized items (like the pencils at Wal-mart...when getting ready for school) it's the same thing. "Emily" is out of stock and "Renee" isn't even offered.

I'm pretty happy with the names I've chosen. I'm glad I choose pretty middle names too, in case they would like to go by their middle name when they are older.

We have an Annie Rachel.

If DS had been a girl, we had picked out the name Chelsea Michele.

I like traditional but uncommon, with family names for middles names.

Firstly congrats .... Now since I was a little girl myself I had the perfect name picked out for my own little girl it was Tierney Grace. So when I discovered I was pregnant I just knew it was little Tierney well....Sean was born 1-31-97 next time I got pregnant I was a little gun shy but sure Tierney was finally on her way .... Liam Michael entered the world 10-16-99. 2002 I was pregnant again and finally discovered a way to have my Tierney no matter what the baby was.... Tiernan James graced us 9-17-02. A little whooopsie in 2003 and I was at a complete loss for a name until little Quinn Paul joined the group 5-27-04. So all little girl names are just fantasy for me but I prefer original not often used names...
The best of luck Joy :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy:

You have totally made me day! Tierney is the name I really want for our next daughter. My husband vetoed it 1st time around and I keep telling him that's what the name girl will be, but he hates the name and keeps insisting that he won't allow his daughter to be named Tierney. He says it reminds him of tyranny and she'll be made fun of. I was starting to think I was crazy and was thinking of other names, but you've renewed my faith!! I've never heard anyone else say they like this name so thanks!

:bounce: Wow never heard anyone else express an interest in Tierney but since naming my son Tiernan I get more compliments on it than anything. Stick by your guns... A girl named Tierney is destined for great things!!!!
Also once my huz witnessed birth he had very little say in the names. :cool1:
Good luck Joy

Three girls for us... :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: !!! And a boy too :earsboy:
Lauren Ann
Jordan Ashley
Lilly Rose

Kerri

1 girl here, Kaylie Brooke. We have a hard time finding personalized items for her and it drives her nuts. If I'd had another girl, I liked Cheney.

I have an 8-week-old Sylvia at home. Everyone hated it at first, but it's sort of growing on people. It helps that not every little girl has that name, but it's not so odd that people have never heard of it.

My DD's name is Elizabeth but we call her Ebby - like Debbie without the D. I taught so I tried to choose uncommon names for my kids.

Editing to add ... Signey. DH And I both liked this name but a staff member had a daughter named Signey already.

That is DD's name!! :)
We also have a Haley Nicole....

I loved the name Natalie - but DH said no.
I also loved Emily, Tabitha, Cameron and Whitney.

My DD is Haley Nicole, too! :flower: If we had another girl we were going to name her Sarah Elizabeth, but we ended up with 4 boys.
