My husband and I went to WDW last September and we each bought a three day florida resident pass. I returned to WDW in December and converted my remaining day from the three day pass to a seasonal florida resident pass. The pass I was given expires on December 15th which was the day that I upgraded to the annual pass.

My husband came with us for a trip in March and we used his remaining day on the three day pass to upgrade his to a seasonal florida annual pass. HIS pass shows an expiration date of September 24 which is the day we bought the original three day pass. I called WDW and they gave me conflicting advice.

My question is: Whose expiration date is wrong? From what I read on mousesavers it should be one year from the upgrade date because it is just a credit towards the annual pass. But noone is sure??? Anyone????

I would think it would be 1 year from the date of the upgrade, that would be the logical answer. You could always try calling Disney again, maybe you'll get a different person and they'll know the right answer. Good luck!

It is the expiration date on the pass as written. The upgrade was suppsed to be retroactive to when you first bought it but the CM made a mistake. i have upgraded several times from different type of passes and only once did I get a current date upgrade and the CM realized it and told me straight out he made a mistake but he was going to give it to me rather than me waiting for him to cancel and figure out how to fix it.

Sorry forgot to add. Unless you paid full price for the Fla res pass. Then it just should count from the day you bought/activated it. Enjoy the extra days.

From what Deb's site says it's from the day you bought it if the change was MORE then 14 days after the first use of the ticket.

I think they did your BF's ticket wrong based on how mine have worked. I have traded in "unused ticket days" in the past and I know they didn't go back to the first issue date. (Otherwise the AP would have expired before I actually used it LOL!) I think you might have success getting this fixed in person, but probably not over the phone. Do you have the receipt by any chance?

No receipts but they do have all our information in the "system" because with Fl. rates they require address, name, etc. in the computer as the ticket is replacable if lost. I wonder too, if we can get his date changed because all they did was credit the one unused day towards the annual pass. It is like I gave up six months of pass to save $40. :confused3

The ticket should date back to the FIRST USE of the original ticket, meaning your 3 day pass! So they made a mistake on your ticket!

Because they gave you FULL CREDIT for the whole amount that you paid!
If they had credited the remaining VALUE (money wise) of your ticket towards the purchase, it would have been different, but they gave you the full amount! So it was more like a payment system towards an SP!

Enjoy the extra days!

You all are the best! Thank you for your replies. I finally got through to a wonderful CM at Guest Services and she looked up my specific ticket purchase for hubby. Dreemseeker was correct, when we upgraded to his seasonal annual pass (FL) they applied the entire 3 day pass purchase price at the 2005 levels (we bought it 9/05) which left us a balance of $121. That is what I paid in March, so the ticket was good unitl 9/06. I forgot how much they took off and how much I paid.

It makes sense to me now. We will be able to renew his pass when we head up for our package deal in October (we have 30 days AFTER expiration to get the renewal rate) and apply the one day ticket we have with our package towards his renewal rate of approximately $203.
