Any ideas?
DH and I are staying at POFQ September 6-12, it's only our second time at the world. I made ADR's right after we booked the trip. I just realized that on our anniversary, sepptember 8, I booked LTT. I'm thinking this probably isn't the best place to celebrate our one year anniversary. It doesn't have to be a romantic meal since we aren't the most romantic people. Although I am trying to find something to surprise him with. Does anyone have ideas where I might try? I'm sure it's slim pickings right now, but it's worth a shot. Are there any places the don't take ADR's? I know Planet Hollywood didn't last year but it was so loud there, I don't think I can do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh and we are on the DDP!

Sorry to bore everyone!

Jill:)

We recently did our 10 year at San Angel Inn. First time eating there and loved it. Atmosphere is great for romance. Like eating in a village over looking a valley & temple at sunset. Great margaritas too. Skip the appetizers though because they give you tortilla chips and crazy good salsa. Also make sure you go to guest services at any park ASAP to get free anniversary pins. Wear them and you'll get treated great. Also make sure to let them know when making your ADR's that it's your Anniversary and you may get lucky and get free desserts all week like we did.

We are doing our 25th at Fulton's at Downtown Disney. However, they are not on the dining plan. How about Spoodles? I've heard great things about it. Unfortunately, we have all of our selections for this year, so we will try it next year.

I don't think there is anything more romantic than V and A at The World, but its expensive and the plan can't be used.

Is it worth it? YES! Its a slow meal, which gives plenty of time for a couple to enjoy each other's presence and it has a very romantic feel. Each lady leaves with a rose and the menus are personalized for your event.

Its not a meal that will soon be forgotten, and to make the day perfect - try the GF spa in the morning!

Our anniversary is Sept 9. We will be dining at 50's Prime Time. It's what DH wanted. It will at least be fun.:)

If you call, the CMs can tell you exactly what is available on that date at your preferred time. That might be the easiest way to find an alternate.

I told my TA we were celebrating our anniversary, everywhere we had ressies, they noted that it was our anniversary. I don't know what you have planned for your last night (the 11th), but I have a ressie at the Cali Grill that we won't be able to make since our flight is coming later than originally planned. You are welcome to it. it's at 9:10, wishes are at 9:00, but you could head over early, have a drink watch the fireworks and have a nice dinner. That and the fact that it isn't your actual anniversary might make it a nice surprise.

Let me know because I need to cancel the ressie as I am double booked (was fortunate enough to find a ressie at DTD that night, which I'm pretty sure we can get to from POFQ, which is where we are staying as well!

DH and I are celebrating our anniversary next January while there. We're leaving the kids at the Poly Neverland Club and going to Narcoosies at the GF. I've requested a window seat and noted that it's our anniversary. I've timed the reservation so that we'll be there when Wishes begins and then get to watch the electric water parade.

Evidently, they pipe in the Wishes music, which is a big thing for me.

What about dinner at the Castle. You might get lucky and they will put you in the center of the room and they will give you free champagne flutes and decorate your table if you are planning on being in the MK that day.

I'm another person that votes for Narcoossee's. We were there in April for Dh's 40th and it was worth every penny we spent and we weren't on the DDP for that trip. It's so worth 2 TS credits.

We did ours in April & had a great time at all. Happy Anninversary :cool1:

We are celebrating our 18th anniversary the same day you are, sept 8th!! We will be at Mama Melrose...never tried it, but we LOVE Italian...hope we are not disappointed.

Oh now that's an idea. We have an ADR for the next night at San Angel Inn, maybe we can can consider that our celebration. I know he wants to go LTT this year since we missed it last year. I don't know much about the San Angel Inn since we didn't go there last year. It sounds wonderful though. Most of our ressies are for not so quiet places, so I think this will work. Thank you so much for the idea!:)
