Help with air conditioning, mattresses and floors at OKW

OKW is our home resort and we have stayed there many times. The last few trips we have stayed at AKV, VWL and BCV. We needed a change. DH, myself, DS age 26 and DD age 23 will be coming with us in June and we can't decide to stay at OKW or AKV, Jambo. We will probably be staying in a 2 bedroom, probably standard view at Jambo, and hopefully HH at OKW, but in a lock off unit. That is what was available, when I checked on Friday.

I know that OKW has been refurbished and I was wondering if anyone has had any problem with the noise above you with the new floors? Have they replaced the mattresses? Last time there they were very hard. Not good for me. Lastly I am hearing that they changed the thermostats in the units. Are they like the other DVC with the motion sensors? That was one of my favorite things about the OKW units was the ability to have a cool room at nite, especially since we will be there in June.

Thanks for any help. By the way we are tied two for OKW and two for AKV, so I need some help with my decision. This info may make someone change their vote.

We stayed at OKW, on Dec. 15th for a week, in a refurbished one bedroom villa on the first floor. It was very quiet and the new mattress was very comfortable. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how beautiful it feels to be in a freshly decorated villa. Enjoy!

What building were you in? We will be staying in a 2 bedroom. Also how is the new thermostat. I heard some people were having a problem regulating the air temperature.
