Ok, we are going to WDW in February 2012:goodvibes

This will be our second trip. I am having some trouble deciding on ADR's this year. We want to try primarily all new places this year. I am looking for suggestions.

This is our schedule; We will visit All the parks, 2 days in MK, one night in DTD. We are staying at WL.

We've eaten at Crystal Palace, Whispering Canyon, Liberty Tavern, 1900 Park Fare, Akershus, Tusker House and of course several QS places in each park- Pizza planet, cosmic rays, etc.

Please give us some suggestions. I really need help with a TS in Epcot. There are so many choices but we have a 5 and 9 year old so it needs to be a family friendly place.

Also shows- We want to do Hoop de Do review, is there another don't miss one.:confused3

Suggestions anyone.:woohoo:

Epcot has a few possibilities that the kids might enjoy. 1). Dinner at the Garden Grill...tables slowly revolve thru The Land boat ride and there's characters. It's all you care to eat and the food is brought to your table.
2). We LOVE Chefs de France. How about a late lunch to see Remy?

At DHS, you may enjoy Prime Time Cafe. Cute theming and if you get a lively server, it can be a fun meal. Sic-Fi isn't one of our favorites but several people like it and the kids may enjoy the experience.

On your MK days, it's a quick trip to either the CR or GF. There's Chef Mickey's at the CR and We enjoy a bite at the Cafe at the GF.

Happy planning :goodvibes

In the World Showcase Chefs de France or Teppan Edo would be my choice with kids. Teppan Edo is pretty entertaining for kids and like Chefs de France, the kids shouldn't have trouble finding something they like.

I'd suggest eating either at Kona Cafe of O'hana in the Polynesian. O'hana can be difficult to get a reservation for most times of the year. We prefer the food at Kona, but others may disagree.

I also second the Grand Floridian cafe. Really good food and more of a relaxed atmosphere. It is one of our favorite places for any meal.

The kids would probably love Chef Mickey's, so, definitely consider that. It can be loud and bustling, but it is great for kids with lots of food choices and character interaction.

I would recommend Chefs de France at Epcot, Raglan Road in DTD and Kona Cafe at the Polynesian.

Do you guys usually leave at night to eat at the Resorts or do you like to stay until close? Seems like last time we were always out of the parks at night because we had a ressie somewhere else. DH says he doesn't want to do that everynight. I agree. However, like on the day we go to AK since it closes early we could do a resort restaurant. I like the idea of leaving MK for a Poly or Contemporary Lunch.
When you do that, what time do you usually make an ADR for?

Have you done Coral Reef? That would be a great environment for the kids with the aquarium and all, and they're supposed to have wonderful food. :)

Epcot day - I'd do dinner at Garden Grill or Biergarten. GG has characters and they bring the food to you family style. Biergarten is a buffet with periodic entertainment and dancing, and even picky eaters seem to do really well here. Either one is 1 TS credit.

HS day - I'd do dinner at Mama Melrose with the F! package. Since you are only going to be at this park one day and since your youngest is only 5, guaranteed seating at the first F! show of the night is a major factor, and at MM it's only 1 TS credit.

AK day - this is where I'd do HDDR, probably the 2nd show so it's after AK closes. This is 2 TS credits

2 MK days - if you are on the DDP I'd recommend using your TS credits for dinners. It's a great mid-day break to go to the Poly CS, Capt Cooks, for lunch - and the Dole Whip soft-serve is one of your dessert choices for a single CS credit. For dinner one night I'd do Ohana if you can get it; great food and the kids will like the periodic participation in the games like coconut races and limbo dancing. For the second dinner it will depend on which Epcot meal you chose. If you picked Biergarten, then do Chef Mickey here. If you picked Garden Grill, then I'd go with a non-character meal. If you want to maximize your park time I'd pick the Plaza - and doubly so if, since you spent 2 credits on HDDR, you need to pay oop for one dinner because this would be about your least expensive option. So for 2 days you can use 2 TS total, or 1 TS and pay one oop.

DTD night - if you are eating dinner in DTD then Raglan Road is about your best TS option on the DDP, 1 TS credit.

Thanks, that really helps!! We haven't been to any of those so I think that's just what we will do. I had forgotten HDDR was 2 TS.
My 5 year is very scared of fireworks and loud noises, so we were thinking on skipping Fantasmic again this year. I want to go but DH doesn't want to risk it being a Fail since we can go when he's older.
Is it terribly scary?
