Hi All.

I am hoping to add 130 AKL points while on the Wonder in a couple of weeks.

The current DCL promotion is $23.00 off with add-ons of 125 or more points.

Assuming the promotion is the same, I am calculating a savings of $2,990.00.

Can anyone tell me if this amount is deducted from the deposit or the total amount of the sale?

I know the deposit is usually 10% but the savings is more than the amount that would be due.

I am trying to make sure I have the appropriate funds for the deposit in my checking account before I leave.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I just added on 50 points at BLT. I paid $104.00 per point ($8.00 off incentive) for a total of $5200.

My 10% deposit was $520.00---it was based on the new contract price. The incentives are not used any longer to count as part of your down payment, but in my case, my down payment was based on my final price.

I paid the rest at closing. In your case, I would think your down payment will be 10% of the contract--at $89.00 per point ($23.00 incentive) for 130 points, that would be about $1157.

Good luck!

I am pretty sure that this is INCORRECT!

The down payment is 10% of the total price before any discounts! I just added on 125 at BLT and my down payment was $1400.00

Then the credit was taken off after that!

Your 10% down would be $1456.00 Then the credit would be $2990.00

Your balance due would be $10114

I spoke with DVC this morning, and the down payment is calculated upon the price before savings. It can be collected in a separate payment, but definitely must be 10% of the before discount price.
