Help with accomdations/Transportation--2/11

I am going to hit DL prior to a Disney Cruise in Feb 2011. We are looking for a hotel that is very kid friendly (ages 1-5), clean and close to the park. We have already booked a family suite at the Holiday Inn, however I am hearing the Hojo's has a great kids pool and is very close. I am hoping not to rent a car for the 3 days I will be there before the cruise. Also, I am looking for reliable transportation from LA to DL and DL to the port. Any help would be great!

Hey, Shawn, HoJo's does have a great kids pool area and Feb could get great weather too. The walk from the park may be a bit for little legs. There are lots of transportation suggestions on MouseSavers for the airports but I do not know about the port. Other fellow Disers can help there.

BTW, I spent quite a bit of time in Danielson growing up. My grandparents owned Patterson Jewelers until it burnt down 20-ish years ago.

We are imports to the Danielson area for about 10 years now. I am sure things have changed from what you remember. We live near the old high school on broad street, which is now a somewhat community center.
