Help with a middle name for baby Landon

Landon Kyle Bruce
Landon Matthew Bruce
Landon William Bruce
Landon Marcus Bruce
Landon Patrick Bruce
Landon Micah Bruce

James is the first name that popped in my mind as well.

OMG, I am due in 3 weeks and his first name is going to be Landon, but we haven't a clue for the middle!

Our list right now is...

Landon Cole
Landon Christopher
Landon James
Landon John
Landon Mark

Well - this is the 3rd time Ive seen someone mention the name "Landon" as their future son's name in about a year, on these boards.

I dont have any suggestions. Im a 'traditional' name kinda gal... and considering Ive had the ONLY Danny and the ONLY Joey in both my boys classes, they seem to be more unique. ;)

Landon Miles

Landon Clark

Landon Neal

Just tossing a couple of more options into the mix. :goodvibes

I like either one or three syllable middle names with Landon:

Landon Jay
Landon Christopher

Landon Daniel Bruce
Landon Adam Bruce
Landon Carter Bruce
Landon Andrew Bruce
Landon Anthony Bruce

you guys are so awesome.. I can't wait to show them all these names tomorrow! I love Landon Kyle! I personally like Landon David... I also like Landon Daniel...

Thanks again.. I will let you know what they pick...

Landon Elias
Landon Silas
Landon Clark
Landon Emmett
Landon Isaac
Landon James
Landon Matthias
Landon Oliver
Landon Philip
Landon Thomas

My pick would be Landon Jordan Bruce.

I also like Kyle. My son's name is Blaine Kyle, but we call him Kyle.

We considered Landon Joseph. Dh didn't like it as well as I did though. And the best advice I can give your BIL/SIL is to not talk to other people about your name choice, because *someone* will find something negative to say about every name you like! (As evidenced by this thread- we got the "landin' strip" comments as well.)

When naming a child, I think it's good to know the negative permutations before it's too late to change the name. Parents often like a name so much that possible teases or insults that can be made out of it don't occur to them. Now, if you've heard it and you think it is not an insurmountable issue and decide to go ahead, then you've done it with your eyes open. I think that that is better than a shock later on.

My *personal* first thought about the name Landon (other than the associations with the actor, whose work I *really* didn't care for) is that the most likely nicknames for it would end up being either Lanny or Donny. The possibility that my son would be known by either nickname would have taken it off my list, because I was bullied as a child by kids with those nicknames. But that's me, not you.

My baby daughter's name is Aisling. The possible negative twist on that one can't be posted here because of the stopword list, but we considered and decided that since most Americans are going to mispronounce the name anyway, the joke would probably not occur to them too often. Instead we just put up with people calling her Ashley all the time, which is annoying but not really unexpected, either.

I like middle names with single syllables best. I think James sounds cute.

Ao you have any special family names? How long is your last name?

Denae

OMG - I was just thinking the same thing!! Landon James. Sounds awesome!;)

I confess. I have no clue how to pronounce your DD's name. Could you give some pronounciation tips? (And I don't get Ashley from the spelling, but maybe some folks do.)
