Hi! I don't need a hotel that has the parks perks (EMH/FP 60 Day Window), but I'd like help with a list of DS hotels that are walking distance to DS. I'll be there for one night only and a friend is meeting me and we'd like to have a fun night eating and shopping. A good pool would be a plus and if it's a Hilton, even better so I can see if I can use points. But walking distance is #1. Thanks!

Go to Buena Vista Palace. Having stayed at all of the there last summer for work multiple times, it is far and away the best. Plus if you are diamond member easy upgrades as well as 2 free drinks at bar!

They are one in the same. The ONLY hotels truly within walking distance are the Disney Springs Hotels with the perks (and calculate in fees and parking costs).

Hilton Lake Buena Vista is easy walk, older hotel that hasn't been updated with basic rectangle pools but for one night it be fine.

Hilton Buena Vista Palace is fairly easy walk, been renovated recently, our room was fine and the new pool area is very very nice.

Hilton Doubletree Suites is the farthest walk but the best value as it's a suite but smaller pool area and if the walk matters ...

IF using points you avoid the resort fees so I would absolutely be booking Buena Vista Palace for the best value.

Buena Vista Palace has an AWESOME pool. The rooms & hotel were fine (the room doesn't match up with what I would say a great Hilton should look like) but I loved the pool & the happy hour drink specials.

Thanks everyone! Booking Buena Vista Palace because it checks all the boxes!
Not sure if it is still closed or not, but I used to grab a large glass of wine and head up to the top floor, called the 20seven, and watch the fireworks. My last trip it was closed and they said there was some damage done. If it is not, try it out. Amazing views of all of Disney/Orlando and it is set up as a massive event area.
